The current season of Deportivo in the away matches is the worst one in nine years. The poor results outside Riazor also means the worst start for coach Caparr??s in his career. A case that the squad will try to change during the next visits to Tarragona and Pamplona.

It seems that on this season, Deportivo is a completely different squad playing at home compared to the squad saw during the away matches. So far the Galician squad has won its first four games in Riazor, but it has only achieved two draws in four games away from La Coru?±a.

This poor record outside Riazor is the worst start in nine years. The fans saw the same behavior during the first season of Irureta in Deportivo (1998/1999). On that occasion the team conquered only two points after the first four away matches: Celta (0-0), Salamanca (1-3), Real Sociedad (0-2) and Tenerife (1-1). The worst year of Depor since the last promotion to Primera occurred on the 1991/1992 campaign. On that opportunity the squad only conquered three victories and four draws away from home.

And the statistics also appoint this season as the worst one in Caparr??s' career as a visitor. During the five years that he spent in Sevilla, his worst start in this condition happened on the 2002/2003 campaign. In that occasion the Sevillan coach achieved also two points in the first four matches: Atl?©tico Madrid (1-1), Espanyol (0-0), Osasuna (1-2) and Alav?©s (0-1). But at least Sevilla scored two goals and allowed four during that period, while Depor has only scored once and has allowed five goals on the present season.

This situation is also very curious compared to the one saw on the past campaign. Depor only achieved six wins at home on the season 2005/2006, while it conquered nine playing outside home. Now, it seems that this situation is reaching the opposite point. But the next two visits could change the view, Depor will visit  Gimn??stic Tarragona and Osasuna during the month of November, N??stic hasn't won any of its four home games played so far, and Osasuna only achieved one win in the same condition, curiously against the same N??stic (2-0).

Before to the game with Barcelona, Deportivo will continue with its tour of friendly matches through Galicia. The rival this time will be Santa Comba, the same Tercera squad that defeated Fabril three weeks ago (3-0). Coach Caparr??s has called all his available men for this confrontation, the only ones that were left out are the injury players: Valer??n (knee), Taborda (thigh), Bodipo (knee), Pablo ?lvarez (broken leg) and Iago (illness). The game will be played today and will start at 16h30.
