The national coach of Spain, Luis Aragon?Šs, has called three players from Deportivo in order to face a friendly game against Romania. These three men are Albert Lopo, Javier Arizmendi and Joan Capdevila. Other players that will have international duty are Jorge Andrade, Fabi??n Estoyanoff and Dudu Aouate.

Spain has lived difficulties in the road to the Euro 2008. The squad coached by Luis Aragon?Šs has only achieved three points in three games, and the ex-Atl?Štico trainer has been under pressure from the media and the public. This is the main reason why he is trying to bring fresh air to his squad.

Aragones's squad will play a friendly match on November 15th against Romania in C??diz, and it will be an important test in order to probe new alternatives. Five men have been called up for the first time: Silva (Valencia), ?ngel (Celta), Arizmendi, Albert Lopo (Deportivo) and Javi Navarro (Sevilla). Meanwhile, 'veterans' like Fernando Torres (Atl?Štico Madrid), Reyes (Real Madrid), Albeda (Valencia), Pablo Iba?ąez (Atl?Štico Madrid), Xavi (Barcelona), Ra??l (Real Madrid) and Joaqu?n (Valencia) were left out.

Puyol (Barcelona) wasn't called since his father died some days ago, Aragon?Šs himself explained the reasons for the changes: "We have to see a lot of things in this game. We can't call Puyol and we have new kids that are doing a good job in their teams, we want to give them an opportunity. It's possible that there are other players in a better shape, but I didn't call them, because I already know them. That's the case of Ra??l, Xavi or Torres."

Of the three called players in Deportivo, Lopo and Arizmendi are enjoying their first participation in Spain's first squad. Both have previously participated with the U20 team. Albert Lopo said after knowing the news that it was the most important day in his life: "Every player has to fight hard for his squad and to be part of the national team is a reward. This is probably the most important day in my career, it's a dream come true."

Meanwhile, Javier Arizmendi couldn't believe the news: "I still can't believe it, it has been a huge surprise for me, because I wasn't expecting this. I am living in a cloud. If I have the chance to play, I will try to take advantage of it, I will continue working hard with my club, because it's also a reward for the collective work done so far. It's clear that Depor has given me the opportunity to find stability in Primera, and I very proud of making the decision of coming to this team."

The full list of twenty players called by Luis Aragon?Šs is:
Antonio L??pez (Atl?Štico Madrid); Cesc F??bregas (Arsenal); Iniesta (Barcelona); Juanito (Betis); ?ngel, Borja Oubi?ąa (Celta); Arizmendi, Capdevilla, Lopo (Deportivo); Luis Garc?a, Reina, Xabi Alonso (Liverpool); Casillas, Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid); Javi Navarro (Sevilla); Angulo, Morientes, Silva, Villa (Valencia); Marcos Senna (Villarreal).

But Deportivo is also contributing with other players for the EURO 2008 qualifiers. Jorge Andrade has returned after eight months and Portugal's coach, Scolari, has called him in order to face Kazakhstan. Dudu Aouate will also play a crucial game with Israel in a group E encounter against Croatia. Both squads are tied with four points after three matches. Meanwhile, Fabi??n Estoyanoff was called in Uruguay in order to face a friendly game against Georgia.
