Deportivo B rescued a point in a game where it only reacted until the final minutes; it could also have lost the meeting at the last minute, but Anxo made two great saves, including blocking a penalty.

Coach Cristobal Parrolo was recovering Edu Expósito and Nacho Monsalve, the first missed the last two months due to an injury. Pedro Gagino and Marcos Legaz were still out due to physical problems.

The draw was a 4-4-2. Anxo Pérez was covering the goal, Blas Alonso performed at the right side in defence, Arnau Campeny and Nacho Monsalve were the centre-backs, Lucas Viña performed at the left side, Álvaro Queijeiro and Hugo Rama were the centre midfielders; Borja Galán attacked from the left wing, Álex Corredera did it from the right, then Óscar García  played behind Borja Domingo in attack.

The rival was CCD Cerceda, a usual contender for the first places that’s has had a poor start (only three points above relegation). Three former Fabril players were starters in the game: goalkeeper Marcos Valín, centre-back Marcos Caridad and winger Cañi.

The excitement in the game came until the second half, in the first both Deportivo B and CCE Cerceda showed the miseries that have been affecting their performance in this start of season. Fabril could have won or lost the game, but Borja Domingo missed his chance and Anxo saved a late penalty.

Nothing special occurred in the first half, the locals had the ball possession, but missed quality in attack and the only chance that they created in this part was a low shot of Uxio Dapena that missed the target (8’).

Meanwhile, Depor B were playing on the counterattack and neither created any harm. Hugo Rama picked an injury in the last stretch of the half and the midfielder was replaced by Edu Expósito, who was reappearing since August 28 (1-2 Vs. Bergantiños CF).

Things started to shake in the second part, Cerceda scored the first goal in the game after an error in a corner-kick. The ball was cleared by the defence and Óscar was starting the counterattack on the left side, but he lost the ball and immediately Álex Ares released a cross that Javi Angeriz met at the box.

There was no reaction for Fabril in the following minutes, the team continued to have problems in offense and CCD Cerceda were feeling comfortable on the pitch, but things changed for the last fifteen minutes, because Depor B finally begun to search for the equalizer.

At minute 74, Borja Domingo headed over the bar a cross from Óscar and one minute later the equalizer arrived. In a corner-kick action, Corredera released the cross from the right, Óscar headed the ball at the near post and centre-back Nacho Monsalve found it at the far post and scored through a new header.

Suddenly Fabril saw that it was able to win the game, Borja Domingo could have scored after a bad exit from Valín (85’). Carreón entered for Corredera as Parrolo sought for more ideas at the second line, but in the end Depor’s lads were lucky to avoid the defeat.

And it’s that Cerceda had a double chance during the stoppage time. First Edu Expósito committed a doubtful foul over Edu de La Puente in an action that the referee interpreted as a penalty for been pulling the shirt of the rival. And goalkeeper Anxo Pérez turned into a hero as he blocked with the legs the shot from the spot by Uxío, and in the resulting corner-kick he cleared over the crossbar a short-distance shot from Javi Angeriz.

Fabril saved a point in the visit to Cerceda, it could have won the game after a late reaction, but two big saves by Anxo meant to grab a point and to keep the fourth spot at the standings. On next Sunday, the team hosts SD Negreira (12h00 CET).
