REVIEW: FABRIL 2 – NEGREIRA 1

31 Oct 2016
Depor B conquered an agonic victory with new signing Mano Molina scoring the goal at the last second. Bad first part of a distracted team that reacted in the final half.

BEFORE THE GAME
Coach Cristobal Parrolo was losing Anxo Pérez and Hugo Rama, the first the hero of the last game after blocking a penalty. Marcos Legaz and Álex Cobo remained injured. New signing Manu Molina was on the bench for the first time and turned to be decisive in the second half.

The draw was a 4-4-2. Ramón Rodriguez was covering the goal, Blas Alonso performed at the right side in defence, Arnau Campeny and Nacho Monsalve were the centre-backs, Lucas Viña performed at the left side, Álvaro Queijeiro and Edu Expósito were the centre midfielders; Borja Galán attacked from the left wing, Álex Corredera did it from the right, then Óscar García  played behind Borja Domingo in attack.

SD Negreira have the goal of avoiding the relegation for this season; coach José Manuel Pose was counting with Stefan Rodriguez as the main threat in attack, this after scoring four of the ten goal for his team during this campaign.

THE MATCH
Depor B were distracted in the first part, it never reacted even when it was down on the scoresheet. It deserved more in the second half and was close to drop two points. The entries of Jardel and especially Manu Molina were key to the victory.

Nothing special occurred within the first ten minutes, only a lateral free-kick by Corredera that went wide (10’). The visiting team had the first chance in the match, it was a long distance shot by Stefan that Ramón couldn’t block properly and that luckily only ended in a corner-kick. The Juvenil A goalkeeper looked nervous within the first minutes, neither his defenders were looking sharp.

Thus came the first goal for Negreira. Iván García managed to seize a distraction of Blas Alonso and got the ball to enter the area by the right side, then he scored with a crossed volley past Ramón.

Fabril were having a slow start and barely were stepping into into the rival’s area, things started to change at minute 20. Depor’s lads were having the ball and earned two straight corner-kicks, after the second it came the first shot on target for them, it was an attempt of Queijeiro that was blocked by visiting goalie Mario Barreiro (24’).

Negreira were also having chances and Iván could have increased the lead, but he missed the target from close range (26’). Fabril continued having the ball but it was unable to create more danger, only a shot by Expósito that was deflected to a new corner-kick (32’).

The second half started with a stronger Fabril and the lads didn’t last in scoring the equalizer. Óscar stole the ball at the right wing and then the winger assisted Borja Domingo, who scored with a low shot. It is his fifth goal on this season.

Then Manu Molina debuted with the team replacing Corredera and he gave a new sense to a team that needed spark at midfield. It called the attention that it was him the one taking the set-pieces, this after only been three weeks with the team. Fabril pushed for the winner and Jardel replaced Borja Domingo, the Portuguese had two chances through headers in corner-kicks, but was unable to score as he missed the target, still he refreshed an attacking line that needed a final push.

And the locals insisted until the stoppage time, the harassment had a deserved reward after substitute Manu Molina scored the goal heading a cross from the left released by Borja Galán, who was also pretty active in the match.

AFTER THE GAME
Dramatic victory of Fabril, the team had a soft start in the first part, it had to comeback in the second and waited until the stoppage time in order to score the winning goal. Great debut for Manu Molina, who improved the performance of the team and even scored the defining goal. Depor B remain in the promotion zone and on next weekend they visit UD Barbadás.
