Depor want to prove things and break negative streaks; Albentosa returns from suspension and Garitano keeps the scheme with Çolak and Marlos Moreno on. Sevilla face the game without Nasri.

Sevilla CF could be having a great season lying fourth at the standings at this moment, but they are living a terrible streak on the road after only been able to win one of their last 24 away liga games, and that success came at the end of October visiting CD Leganes (2-3; October 15).

Meanwhile, Depor are suffering a double negative streak, first they have been unable to defeat Sevilla CF within their last eleven meetings. Los Blanquiazules have spent almost seven years without defeating the Andalusians in official competitions, their last success was a 0-1 win at the Sánchez Pizjuán playing for the Copa Del Rey (January 27, 2010). Later, Deportivo have failed to win in nine of their last ten league matches; actually they have only won twice after the first eleven matchdays of the season.

Deportivo have only added ten points after eleven games; the last time the team had a worst mark at this height of the competition was the campaign 1991/92, at the time the team had only added five points (seven now taking every victory as three points). Marco Antonio Boronat was the coach at the time and he was fired after 30 matchdays.

The current Deportivo is surrounded by doubts, the fans are skeptical with coach Gaizka Garitano and the poor performance in attack are “promising” another suffered season in the quest for the permanence, and now Sevilla CF visit the Riazor, an in-form team that represents a big exam in front of the fans.

Team news: Striker Joselu, right-back Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ and attacker Borja Valle are the three players at the injury room. The rest of the squad for picked for the meeting with the exception of keeper Rubén Martínez. Midfielder Celso Borges was picked despite joining the team until Friday and it’s even expected that he will be a starter.

Man to watch: Striker Florin Andone. After a silent start in liga, the Romanian striker finally scored in matchday 11 visiting Granada CF. He has accumulated 890 minutes in the competition and hopes to continue adding to his tally. He scored five goals in his first experience at Primera with Córdoba CF (2014-15) and last year he netted 22 goals in 36 Segunda presentations with the Andalusians.

Picked players: (19) Lux, Tytoń (goalkeepers); Juanfran, Arribas, Albentosa, Sidnei, Navarro, Luisinho (defenders); Álex Bergantiños, Borges, Pedro Mosquera, Çolak, Guilherme, Fajr Carles Gil, Bruno Gama (midfielders); Ryan Babel, Marlos Moreno & Florin Andone (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Tytoń – Juanfran, Albentosa, Sidnei, Luisinho – Borges, Mosquera – Bruno Gama, Çolak, Marlos Moreno – Andone.

The arrival of Jorge Sampaoli refreshed a club in search for bigger goals than just win the Europa League and end among the first six places. Sevilla CF want to be a candidate to the liga title and find the always elusive stability in the Champions League, and they are achieving that as the Andalusians look like a serious contender in the local competition and a strong candidate to pass the group stage in the highest tournament in Europe.

The Argentine coach is still searching for some balance and especially punch in attack, the rumors say that they are going to search for a striker in the winter window, but up to this point the fans are content with the performance of the team.

Team news: Playmaker Samir Nasri (muscle) wasn’t picked for the game as he is reserved for the clash in Champions League against Depor. The players out for injury reasons are midfielder Benoît Trémoulinas (meniscus), striker Carlos Fernández (knee surgery) and winger Krohn-Dehli (leg fracture).

Man to watch: Winger/playmaker Pablo Sarabia. He was the first signing of Sevilla CF for the current season, he suffered the relegation with Getafe CF on last season and the Andalusians only paid one million Euros for the 24-year-old player, and he has responded with three goals plus three assists in nine presentations.

Picked players: (18) Sergio Rico, Sirigu (goalkeepers); Mariano, Carriço, Escudero, Rami, Pareja, Mercado (defenders); Iborra, Kranevitter, Correa, Franco Vázquez, N’zonzi, Vitolo, Sarabia (midfielders); Ganso, Ben Yedder & Vietto (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Rico – Mariano, Pareja, Rami, Escudero – Iborra, N’Zonzi – Sarabia, Franco Vázquez, Vitolo – Ben Yedder
