The referees failed and also Garitano with the changes. Babel and Andone advance in a striking zone that has been silent, while Depor lost a game after a two-goal lead for the first time in 50 years.

The eight notes from the game against Sevilla CF:

1- More doubts with Garitano The referees could be on the spotlight, but their errors cannot hide the fact that Gaizka Garitano increased the doubts about his continuity. He was right with the starting lineup and especially with allowing the appearance of Babel as a starter, that was a success, but later he once again failed with the substitutions starting with the fact that they arrived too late.

In the second half, the team needed someone like Fajr at midfield and also the speed of Marlos Moreno for the counterattack, but the Moroccan never entered and the Colombian entered until the game was already tied. Instead the coach replaced Juanfran with Arribas in a move he described as a reinforcement against the set-pieces, but the goal that cost the defeat came in a corner-kick, so that modification was worthless. There are rumours he can be sacked in case of losing at MŠlaga CF.

2- Again the referees: For the second straight matchday Deportivo suffered a decision of a referee that affected the result.  A not conceded penalty cost the game as from a possible 3-1 situation Depor passed to lose 2-3. One matchday before a disallowed goal against Granada CF cost to drop two points, and before a new disallowed goal that was legal cost the first defeat on the season against Athletic Club (matchday 03). So, Depor have lost six points due to the errors of the referees.

3- Deceiving stats:  Sometimes the stats from the games donít reflect what really happened in the meeting, and this is one of those opportunities. The big ball possession of Sevilla CF (73%), plus the fact of completing 20 shots and 7 of them on target might indicate that the Andalusians deserved the win, but the point is that things were very different by the moment the referee failed to concede the penalty over Andone.

Because by minute 73, Sevilla CF were dominating the ball possession, but they didnít have depth. By this minute they have only completed two shots on target and Depor werenít suffering to protect the 2-1 lead. The collapse came within the last ten minutes with the visiting side completing five shots on target and scoring twice.

4- Babel & Andone: Emre «olak has been praised lately due to his performance, but in this game, he was absent and, after all the criticism for the lack of scoring, the men on the spotlight for this game were Ryan Babel and Florin Andone. The Dutchman was the starter that touched the ball in less opportunities (32), but it was enough to score a goal and bring an assist, his progression is encouraging and Depor need this guide. Meanwhile, Andone scored for the second straight matchday and is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

5- Luisinho & Juanfran: Once again the side defenders were the players with more touches at Deporís team (Luisinho 49, Juanfran 46). The big difference in this game is that it wasnít to clear the ball from the back, but to penetrate in the attempt to release a cross. Thus, Juanfran assisted for the first goal. Both side defenders made a nice effort and were among the best players in this match.

6- Losing a two-goal lead: For the third straight opportunity Depor dropped points after scoring the first goal in the game (fourth time that it happens during this season). Definitely, the Galicians are failing to keep the advantage and, in this game, it was worse as it was a two-goal lead. This is the first time since 1968 in which Depor lose a game after having a two-goal lead (Real Madrid, from 2-0 to 2-4)

7- Allowing goals at the Riazor: Deportivo remain unable to clinch a clean sheet playing at the Riazor. Los Blanquiazules have conceded goals in the last seventeen home meetings. The last time Depor clinched a clean sheet at the Riazor was in a 2-0 win over SD Eibar (December 19, 2015).

8- The quickest goal in six years: Babel scored the first goal in the game after only 56 seconds, this is the quickest goal for Depor since Riki only needed 35 second to net against Racing Santander (1-1, April 11, 2010). And as it happened in that opportunity the quick goal wasnít enough to win the game.
