Garitano repeats the lineup for the third straight opportunity as he wants Depor to close the year with a win. Caparrós lost his five games with CA Osasuna and has a long list of casualties for the match.

Referee: José María Sánchez Martínez
Kick-off: 18h30 CET (Riazor)

Lately the games of Deportivo have been full of goals; after the problems to score goals at the beginning of la liga, now the Galicians are the second best scorer within the last six matchdays with fourteen goals in favour, only two less than Real Madrid.

In that same period Garitano’s team has conceded 13 goals, it’s the worst mark in the competition tied with CA Osasuna, precisely the rival for this game. It explains why Depor have only added five points within the last six matchdays. Worse is the situation for CA Osasuna, team that’s dragging a mark of five straight defeats, exactly the number of games that Caparrós has been on board. The Navarrans are currently the worst defence in the league (32 goals allowed), so this game is promising goals.

CA Osasuna have always faced problems visiting the Riazor, they won in three of the last eight league matches played there, but they ended scoreless in the last four. The Navarrans have only won one game on the season and it was playing on the road (2-3 at SD Eibar).

Coach Gaizka Garitano has continued to witness how his team drops points at the last minutes, but already found a trident in attack with Ryan Babel, Florin Andone and Joselu, trio that has scored or assisted in 10 of the 14 goals scored by Depor within the last six matchdays.

But despite their good form, Garitano is not ready to play with them at the starting lineup. Instead he prefers to keep the 4-2-3-1 scheme, mainly as Carles Gil is also in good form. The Valencian winger had provided three assists in his last three appearances. For this reason, Joselu will start the game on the bench and Garitano repeats the lineup for the third straight opportunity.

Team news: Right winger Bruno Gama is recovered from a muscle problem and was included in the roster, so Laure is the only player that remains at the injury room. Fayçal Fajr wasn’t named in the team for the game, he said during the week that he isn’t happy for not playing. The other players out for tactical reasons are Rubén Martínez, Álex Bergantiños and Borja Valle.

Man to watch: Winger Carles Gil. After a slow start that even pulled him out of the rosters, the Valencian winger is now an undisputed starter and one of the main sources of danger. He has provided three assists in his last three games and will lead the attacking line against the worst defence in the league.

Picked players: (18) Tytoń, Lux (goalkeepers); Juanfran, Arribas, Albentosa, Sidnei, Navarro, Luisinho (defenders); Borges, Pedro Mosquera, Çolak, Guilherme, Bruno Gama, Carles Gil (midfielders); Joselu, Marlos Moreno, Ryan Babel & Florin Andone (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Tytoń – Juanfran, Albentosa, Sidnei, Navarro – Borges, Guilherme – Carles Gil, Çolak, Babel - Andone.

Enrique Martín was sacked after a poor start in la liga, but his successor, Joaquin Caparrós, just arrived in order to make things worse. Since he is commanding the team the Navarrans have chained five straight defeats and have only added 7 points in 15 matchdays, the worst mark for a last place since Xérez Deportivo during the season 2009/10 (same number of points).

To make things worse a plague of injuries is hitting the squad and affecting the possibility of making changes, for the game at the Riazor six players are out, four are injured, one is suspended and another man is out for contract reasons, which reduced the list of available men to only eighteen.

Team news: Left-back Carlos Clerc is recovered from an ankle knock and goes directly into the starting eleven, goalkeeper Mario Fernández is also fit to play (muscle problem). Fullback Oier Sanjurjo is suspended for the meeting, striker Oriol Riera cannot play as Depor is his parent club, then the four men injured are centre-back Miguel Flaño right-back Javier Flaño, midfielder Didier Digard (the three them with a knee ligaments injury) and winger Imanol García (hamstring).

Man to watch: Striker Sergio León. The big hope for the season was the Andalusian attacker, CA Osasuna paid €1,7 million for him and the 27-year-old player has partially responded with four goals in nine appearances. He scored a brace in the lonely victory on the season (2-3 at Eibar, October 17), but since that day he remains scoreless.

Picked players: (18) Nauzet Pérez, Mario Fernández (goalkeepers); Tano, David García, Unai García, Juan Fuentes, Clerc, Aitor Buñuel, Iván Márquez (defenders); Goran Čaušić, Roberto Torres, Álex Berenguer, Fran Mérida, De las Cuevas (midfielders); Sergio León, Emmanuel Rivière, Jaime Romero & Kenan Kodro (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (4-4-2) Nauzet - Tano, David García, Iván Márquez, Clerc – De Las Cuevas, Roberto Torres, Čaušić, Berenguer - Sergio León, Jaime.
