Left-back Saúl García is going to play loaned at RCD Mallorca for the rest of the season. The Cantabrian barely played at Girona FC and will continue to perform at Segunda.

Deportivo announced on Friday that Saúl García is going to play loaned at RCD Mallorca until the end of the present season. The 22-year-old player was loaned to Girona FC at the beginning of this season, but until this point he had only played 201 minutes distributed in six Segunda games.

To make things worse the Catalans had just signed ex-Depor Angeliño for the left side in the defence and it was clear that he wasn’t going to have minutes. That’s why the club negotiated with another Segunda club, RCD Mallorca, and reached an agreement during this week. The rescission with Girona FC was closed on Friday.

RCD Mallorca are living a grey season, they are currently in demotion at Segunda División, recently ex-Depor Fernando Vázquez was fired and Javier Olaizola took control of the team. This is the second loan negotiated with the Majorcans on this season, currently Juan Dominguez is playing there and is having a decent performance (the midfielder has played in the 19 games disputed until this point)
