The 4-4-2 failed again for Deportivo after Garitano was left without wingers. The position of «olak was once again a situation to discuss, while Andone proved again his value.

The five notes from the game vs. UD Las Palmas:

1- The problem of the 4-4-2: No wingers no party. Deportivo played one of its worst games of the season and a lot of this problem was provoked by the system that was used and especially to the lack of wingers. Joselu never showed up and at times it seemed that he and Andone were obstructing each other, while the lack of game on the sides and the lack of direction at the centre provoked to see a flat team in attack.

Just to notice that Depor only completed one shot on target, which luckily was the goal that meant a point. The situation improved when Garitano switched the positions of «olak and Joselu during the second half, only then the team had a little more depth. After the game the coach himself admitted that he is forced to play like this due to the lack of wingers.

2- The position of «olak: Garitano admitted it before and after this game: Emre «olak losses football when he is moved to the wings, but it was the only solution that the coach found due to the lack of wingers. And it happened what happened before: The Turkish was intermittent until he was moved back to the centre, and then he appeared lighting the way with his long pass that allowed the equalizer by Andone.

3- The disaster of the crosses: Deportivo released twenty crosses during the game and one two of them met the target. The first a cross of Luisinho in a secondary play of a corner-kick that ended with Borges heading the ball out (43í). The second was the cross from Juanfran that Andone connected inside the box and that was close to mean the second goal (84í).

4- A guarantee called Andone: The Romanian striker only touched the ball in 24 opportunities despite playing for 90 minutes, which meant to be the Deporís player with less contact with the ball in this game, but it was enough to grab a point as his run and accurate shot meant the equalizer. This is his seventh goal in liga, all of them within the last nine matches in the competition.

5. Undefeated: Truly Depor remains without winning a game in 2017, but the other side of the story is that it neither lost any of the six official games played in the new year. The Galicians now chain four straight liga games without losing, only FC Barcelona (11), Villarreal (5) and Sevilla CF (4) present a better streak.
