The coach and his players admitted that Depor were bad in the first half and that the result was fair, while the coach of UD Las Palmas described the point as tasteless.

Gaizka Garitano explained his vision about the game, “The true is that we were coming to a difficult field, place where no one has won before and we started badly, we were asleep, the first fifteen minutes were pretty bad and little by little we were improving. In the second part we were better. We were too thick with the ball during the first half, we weren’t active at the start and were improving with the passage of time, in the end we were able to tie.”

He admitted that the 4-4-2 is a scheme that doesn’t’ suits this Deportivo, “It was made for a need, because right now we don’t have the resources to play at the zone, so we had to divide the sides between Emre and Joselu. I believe Joselu made a great job and Emre was liberated at the centre. Right now, we need to recover the wingers, once they are fine we will have more offensive options.”

“We also needed more men to refresh the attack at the end, because Andone was tired, Joselu was tired, Emre Çolak was tired and right now we don’t have the resources to make changes, especially in attack. Let’s see if we can recover more people on this week, so we can have other solutions.” He added.

Finally, the Basque coach said that the draw was a fair result, “The draw is the fairest result. We started badly in the first part, we improved in the second and went from bad to good. They were better in the first part and in the end the result is fair.”

Fernando Navarro commented that, “We weren’t fine at the beginning, they dominated within the first twenty minutes, since that point we improved. I believe each side dominated a half, they did it without having big chances and neither we knew how to make opportunities having the numeric advantage.”

“Las Palmas is a team that dominates the possession, they didn’t have big chances, but were settled. Since the expulsion we dominated, neither with clear chances and I believe the draw is fair, because each half was dominated by one team.” He added.

Florin Andone also shared the view that Depor played badly at the start and that the result is fair, “It was a complicated game. I believe we made a very bad first half, Las Palmas were superior, later we reacted in the second. We got a morale boost with the goal and with their expulsion we attacked and tried to win the game. It was difficult and we were lucky to get a point. They neither had too many chances, but it’s difficult with their game based in the possession. The result was fair.”

The Romanian is content after scoring his seventh goal on the season, “In an individual sense I am content, because I see how I started: zero goals in the first ten games and seven in the last nine. In the end. I am growing as a player and person, thanks to the people from here and the coach. Sometimes we are lucky and today it was like that, I am happy for the goal and especially for the point added.”

The one that was sincerer was Juanfran Moreno, who told to Radio Cadena Ser that, “It was a disastrous game, something to forget.” More calmed was Sidnei Rechel, “We are content with the point added, it was a nice game with both sides trying to win.”

At UD Las Palmas, Quique Setíen wasn’t content with the result, “Until the expulsion the team was fine, we controlled the game, the ball and the spaces, and maybe we missed to end the arrivals that we had on the wings. We did the merits in the first part to have resolved the game with more clarity, this point is tasteless.”
