Carles Gil conceded an interview to Sportpaper Marca, the winger warns that nothing is done for having a streak of four games without losing, and also said that he would love to stay at Deportivo.

Carles Gil talked to Marca and admitted the importance of the derby, "This is not a normal week for Deportivo. Even if you weren’t promoted from the B squad or you have many years at the club, playing a derby is always special. At the changing room, they make you see that it’s a game where there are more than three points at stake. The fans expect the match with Celta throughout the season. It’s the party of Galician football, the first thing fans watch when the calendar is made public."

"From the first moment, I saw that it was something special, since the end of the match against Barça, people are asking us to win the derby, it’s clear what’s in their minds and what they pass to us, I just want to help the team. If I am a starter then is fine, if not then another partner will play and the rest will support." He added.

The winger is aware that this is a good moment for Deportivo, but doesn’t want to see the team relaxing, "We arrive with good feelings and the inertia is very positive, but this thing changes from one day to another. We would be wrong if we are relaxed, even if it’s only a little."

Finally, Gil admitted that he would love to stay despite there’s no buyout option in his loan contract, "The first thing is to talk to Aston Villa, I'm very happy here, but now the priority is to achieve the goal of salvation, I wish I could stay."
