Deportivo B ended the season with a new victory, the coach used some of the less habitual players as the team is already qualified for the playoffs. Hugo Rama scored and assisted in the game.

Nothing was at stake for the last matchday in the league, Deportivo B were already qualified for the playoff round as the champion in the Galician group of Tercera, while SD Dubra arrived as one of the relegated teams to Preferente.

Coach Cristobal Parralo recovered people, including Edu Expósito and Nacho Monsalve, but decided to make rotations ahead of the playoffs. The only player out injured was Álvaro Queijeiro (shoulder).

The draw was a 4-2-3-1, Anxo Pérez was the starting goalie, Blas Alonso performed at the right side of the defence, Álvaro Naveira did it at the left, the centre-backs were Nacho Monsalve and Arnau Campeny. Ángel Fernández and Edu Expósito were the centre midfielders, Borja Galán attacked from the right wing, Jorge Carreón played on the left, Hugo Rama was the playmaker, and Borja Domingo was the centre forward.

Nothing was at stake in this game, and it was noticed inside and outside the pitch, because only a few fans attended to Abegondo (the first team was playing for the survival at Primera only minutes after the final whistle), while the teams didn’t put too much intensity in a match with only a few opportunities to score.

Fabril always had the ball before a demotivated team that’s going back to the Preferente league. And it’s that the rival played with several lads from their youth teams, even allowing the debut of Juvenile goalkeeper Fran Fagin, who entered in the second half. The same was happening at Fabril. Ángel was a starter for the first time on the season, and he played the full 90 minutes, just when he had only performed for 91 minutes in the rest of the campaign.

Hugo Rama shone in this game, it wasn’t a good season for him as the injuries limited his participation, but in this meeting, he commanded a team that only had a few chances to score, the main one in the first half was a wide shot by Borja Domingo (36’).

The goals arrived in the second part, the first one was a combination between Hugo Rama and Ángel, the latter finalized the play with a crossed shot from inside the area. The goal brought calm and Parralo started to rest some players.

Thus Corredera replaced Borja Galán and shortly after Jardel did the same with Borja Domingo. Then the second goal came, it was a direct free-kick with Hugo Rama beating visiting goalie Iván Couto.

Fabril continued having the ball possession and had a couple of approximations, but there were no more goals, only the last change in the regular reason, which was the entry of Manu Molina for Hugo Rama.

Fabril ended the season with a new victory, the 25th after 38 matchdays. The team ended the season at the top having a nine-point lead over the second place and only suffering one defeat in 2017. Now Depor’s lads face a two-leg series with the winner earning the promotion to Segunda B. The rival in the playoff will be CP Cacereño (Extremadura). The first-leg is played this weekend, and the returning game takes place in two weeks and will be disputed at the Riazor.
