Deportivo closed the week with the third victory on the pre-season; Valverde, Juanfran, Bruno Gama and Carles Gil left a positive impression, while Óscar scored again. Bruno Alves netted a race.

Third friendly game in the pre-season, once again coach Pepe Mel used two different teams for each half. He picked Çolak, Andone and Carles Gil for the game, while Bicho and Queijeiro were dropped for injury reasons.

The lineup was a 4-2-3-1 figure. Rubén Martínez was the goalkeeper, Gerard Valentín was the right-back defender, the left side was for Luisinho, while Albentosa and Arribas were the centre-backs.

Fede Valverde and Edu Expósito were the centre midfielders, Aarón Sánchez was the right winger, Óscar García attacked from the left flank, Emre Çolak was the playmaker and Florin Andone was the centre forward.

Depor controlled the actions in the game, but there weren’t scoring chances within the first ten minutes; only a crossed shot by Andone after been assisted by Çolak, his attempt missed the target (3’). SD Silva started to approach through lateral free-kicks, in the first one Diego found the ball inside the area after a bad clearance, but he sent the ball out (15’).

Two minutes later, Deportivo completed its first shot on target. It was Bicho in a solo play on the left, his attempt was deflected by a defender and then local goalie Guillermo caught the ball. At minute 20, Óscar assisted Aarón Sánchez and his shot was once again blocked by the keeper. It seems Aarón got injured in that play as he was replaced by Saúl.

The game was boring until the first goal arrived. Fede Valverde drilled a perfect pass into the path of Óscar, who fired from the left corner of the area crossing Guillermo. At minute 33, Albentosa headed over the bar a corner-kick from the left.

A second goal arrived soon, Andone collected a drilled pass from Óscar and, after eluding defender Rebollo, he beat Guillermo with a crossed and drilling attempt. In the final ten minutes, Silva insisted but without finding the reward of a goal.

The entire team was changed at half-time, including Saúl, who entered at the middle of the first part. The draw was now a 4-3-3 (Francis - Juanfran, Róber, Sidnei, Navarro - Guilherme, Borges, Mosquera – Carles Gil, Adrián Castro, Bruno Gama).

Depor had the first chance to score in the second part, in a counterattack Bruno Gama chipped the ball from the left side of the box, Adrin Castro fired on target and the ball hit the back of Borges before going out close to the near post´(50’).

The second part was faster, mainly as Deportivo were looking dangerous in the counterattack. At minute 54, Juanfran made a long run on the right wing and his drilling cross was close to end in an own goal. Two minutes later the picture was repeated in a free-kick action, this time the cross from Juanfran was connected by Borges and the ball went out after hitting a defender.

At minute 58, a new action of Juanfran on the right wing ended in a shot by Carles Gil that was blocked by substitute keeper Damián. At minute 65, it was Bruno Gama who had a chance to score, he collected a cross of Carles Gil but sent the ball wide.

Pedro Alves played the last 20 minutes after replacing Adrián Castro. At minute 71, Sidnei headed a lateral free-kick and Damián made a brilliant save as the ball was going into his bottom right-corner. And the third goal came in the next play, Carles Gil hit the crossbar in a new lateral free-kick and Pedro Alves found the rebound at the box scored with a diving header.

The fourth goal came with a fine assist by Carles Gil, who drilled the ball into the edge of the area, Borges was there and sent the ball into the near post of Damián. Bruno Gama could have scored the fifth goal one minute later, but his curved shot from close range was saved by Silva’s goalie. And the fifth goal arrived anyway, Sidnei sent a long pass from the defense and Pedro Alves controlled the ball perfectly to beat Guillermo from close range.
