Deportivo begins la liga hosting Real Madrid and ends the season visiting Mestalla. There are four matchdays in midweek, one of them is the Galician derby at the Riazor.

The draw of calendar for the league season 2017/18 was made on Friday, despite the controversy with president Villar, the RFEF released the calendar is a short act in Madrid La liga starts on August 20 and ends on May 20, just three weeks before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2018. Also, there are four international breaks (September, October, November and March) and the final in Copa Del Rey is scheduled for April 21.

Since the final in Copa is disputed during the same weekend of matchday 34, then the two finalists will play their games of that matchday on May 09. The Primera clubs will start to dispute the Copa tournament on October 25 (first-leg, last-32 round). The last-16 round, quarterfinals and semifinals are packed between January and February. At the same time four liga matchdays will be disputed in midweek.: September 20, December 20, February 28 and April 18.

Deportivo will begin la liga hosting Real Madrid at the Riazor, later only one of the next nine rivals are playing in European competitions during this season (Real Sociedad), which means that the toughest part arrives at the end. Indeed, the last stretch is the most difficult part with Depor facing FC Barcelona, RC Celta, Villarreal CF and Valencia CF in the last four matchdays.
