ANDONE: “I FELT LIKE I FAILED TO MY PARTNERS”

24 Aug 2017
Florian Andone is not worried for the rumors coming from England, while he admits that he failed a lot on Sunday, but also that it’s part of the normal life of a striker.

Striker Florin Andone addressed the media on Wednesday after the training session held at the Riazor. He isn’t aware of the rumors pointing to his exit to the Premier League, “I cannot say anything, because it is a subject of the club and my agent.  My goal is to stay here, so nothing more. The club manages my situation, they never allowed my exit and I’m content on here, so there’s nothing more to talk about. I’m happy here and will love to complete the years in my contract. I am where I want.”

About the arrival of Lucas, he understands the moves of the club, “I always say that I don’t expect anyone. If the club wants to bring another striker then it will be welcomed, but I am not waiting for anyone. I don’t handle the case, the club is just trying to have the best attacking line, but it doesn’t correspond to me.”

Later he was asked about his performance against Real Madrid, and the Romanian attacker said that, “I feel bad, disappointed, because I had in my hands to score a goal, to ease the game for the team. I felt like I failed to my partners. But this is football, it’s about trying. I will continue failing, it’s for sure, because you must continue trying and the ball will end entering. I don’t think there’s a footballer that’s perfect, I have things to improve. I could have done better, but these are circumstances. Some days you are better. ”

“It was clear that it was Real Madrid, you spend more time defending than attacking. It was a difficult rival; you end up at the back and need to go out in the counterattack. You need to know how to face these games. Unfortunately, we were unable to score in our first two chances. I am convinced that, if we would have scored the first, then the game would have been different. We would have been with more confidence.  What I know is that I will never hide.” He added.

Finally, Andone talked of the physical problems that have affected him, “I am better know, nobody knew this but last year I was playing broken, because I didn’t want to lose a game. Things weren’t fine and didn’t want to leave the boat. This year it happened again, but it was smaller and was able to play the game.”
