Deportivo recovers the figure of the playmaker in the starting formation as Emre Çolak is available. The rival is coming from a successful debut and after a brilliant campaign at Segunda División.

Referee: Javier Alberola Rojas
Kick-off: 20h15 CET (Ciutat de València)

Deportivo only lost in two of their last eight visits to Levante UD playing for la liga, but within the last three matches played at the Ciutat de València the Galicians only rescued a point scoring one goal. The last victory there was a 0-4 for the Primera season 2012/13 with goals scored by Valerón, Pizzi, Oliveira and Bruno Gama. Precisely, the Portuguese winger is the only survivor for the team that played that game.

Los Blanquiazules are coming from a 0-3 defeat hosting Real Madrid, it’s the worst debut in liga for Depor in a decade. For the campaign 2007/08, the Galicians also lost 0-3 at home during the first matchday, in that opportunity the rival was UD Almeria.

Meanwhile, Levante UD are coming after a resounding 1-0 win over Villarreal CF. It’s not only encouraging for the entity of the rival, but also because it is the first time that the Valencians start a Primera season with a victory, in the previous eleven opportunities they only managed to get five draws.

Pepe Mel returns to the 4-2-3-1 figure as Emre Çolak is available. The Turkish and Carles Gil were out of the first game and, with the two ideal men for the position out, the coach decided to switch to the 4-3-3. Now he returns to the traditional system at Deportivo. Çolak is taking the place of Celso Borges in the only expected change at the starting formation compared to the game against Real Madrid.

Team news: Zakaria Bakkali passed a late test on Friday and the Belgian keeps his place at the starting formation. Fede Valverde and Emre Çolak are available and therefore are picked for the first time on the season. Carles Gil remains at the injury room, while the players out for tactical reasons are Raúl Albentosa, Gerard Valentín, Bicho, Saul García and Borja Valle.

Man to watch: Striker Florin Andone. The Romanian failed three clear opportunities plus a penalty in the opening matchday, but continues to be the main threat of a team that’s searching for its first goal and points on the season.

Picked players: (18) Rubén Martínez, Tytoń (goalkeepers); Juanfran, Arribas, Sidnei, Schär, Luisinho, Navarro (defenders); Guilherme, Mosquera, Borges, Fede Valverde, Çolak, Bruno Gama, Cartabia (midfielders); Bakkali, Adrián & Andone (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Rubén Martínez – Juanfran, Schär, Sidnei, Luisinho – Guilherme, Mosquera – Cartabia, Çolak, Bakkali – Andone.

This Valencian team returned quickly to the elite after only one year at Segunda, and it did it in a great way after winning the last Segunda season without any suffering, ending first and fourteen points above runners-up Girona FC. Now they want to clinch the permanence with one of the lowest salary caps in the competition.

They already made nine signings, the last one was midfielder Samu García, and still planning three more, and like Depor they also want a goalkeeper and a striker that will allow a quality leap. Actually, they were interested in David Soria and Lucas Pérez, targets of Deportivo.

Team news: Coach Juan Ramón López Muñiz has two casualties for the meeting: striker Roger Martí (knee injury) and centre-back Róber Pier (contract reasons). New signing Samu García isn’t expected to be picked as has only completed two trainings with the team.

Man to watch: Playmaker Enis Bardhi. This Macedonian midfielder is expected to be one of the surprises of the season after Levante UD only paid €1.5 million during the summer. He left a positive impression in the UEFA U-21 tournament played recently and already had an impact in la liga scoring the winning goal against Villarreal.

Picked players: The coach will release the roster after Saturday training (11h30 CET)

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Raúl Fernández – Iván López, Postigo, Chema, Toño – Campaña, Lerma – Jason, Bardhi, Morales – Álex Alegria.
