Three casualties at the squad for the visit to Las Palmas as Parralo tries to revert the negative impression left in Copa Del Rey.

It has been an unusual week for Deportivo, first for facing two liga games on a Monday and for playing in midweek in Copa, then for the exit of Pepe Mel, who was replaced by Cristóbal Parralo. The new boss will only complete six training sessions before the next liga game visiting UD Las Palmas (Estadio de Gran Canaria, Monday, 21h00 CET).

The debut of the former coach of Fabril was a disaster as Depor ended conceding four goals in Copa, and now all the attention is focused in la liga. Parralo didn’t suffer any new casualty on Thursday, Fabian Schär ended the game with a muscle problem, but is set to be available for the visit to the Canary Islands.

For now there are only three confirmed casualties for the game. Striker Adrián López sustained a shoulder injury during the game with Girona FC, he doesn’t need surgery, but will be out at least for a month. Keeper Rubén Martínez is closer to return from a thumb injury, while Carles Gil might be joining the group at the end of November after a groin surgery.

Right-back Juanfran Moreno was sent off in Copa, but since the expulsion occurred after seeing two yellow cards, the suspension will only apply in the same competition, so he will be available for liga, though the competition committee could receive a report from the referee’s committee after the post-game declarations gave by the player, something that could increase the sanction.

At UD Las Palmas, coach Pako Ayestarán warned that the victory in Copa won’t have an impact in liga. That was his first victory at the Canarian club, but the situation in liga remans complicated after suffering five straight losses.

Two players are out of Monday’s game: striker Oussama Tannane, who picked an adductor injury that will keep him sidelined for two months, and playmaker Alen Halilović, who on Tuesday was operated from an ankle injury.
