Depor are forced to make changes after the defeat with Málaga, but at the same time recover players as Adrián, Juanfran and Carles Gil are back. Athletic are trying to find the key after a new poor start of season.

Referee: José Luis González González
Kick-off: 12h00 CET (Riazor)

Deportivo are already having big problems in the home meetings, the Galicians have lost four of the six home matches played so far and urgently need to improve in order to boost the survival options. The six points added at the Riazor represent the third worst mark in la liga, only above Alavés (3) and UD Las Palmas (3).

Meanwhile, Athletic Club are having their “usual” discrete start of season, the Basques have only added twelve points in twelve matchdays and are only five points above demotion, this after only adding one of the last twelve points in dispute.

Also, the Basques have had problems at the Riazor in recent years, last year they won 0-1 there, but within the previous eight league visits to A Coruña they lost six times and were only able to add two draws.

In a week with three games, coach Cristóbal Parralo is ready to introduce modifications after barely making changes in his first four matches with the team.  Beyond refreshing the starting lineup, it is a matter of casualties as two men are suspended, while other two fell injured in the meeting with Málaga CF. Still, the Andalusian coach will keep playing with a 4-3-3 figure.

The main novelties are to see Pedro Mosquera and Adrián López, the Galician midfielder is making his fourth appearance as a starter during the season. The previous one was in matchday 03 hosting Real Sociedad. Meanwhile the Asturian attacker is reappearing after a month out, this is only his third match as a starter of this campaign.

Team news: Sidnei Rechel was replaced at half-time of the meeting at La Rosaleda. The scans made during the week detected a muscle injury on his left thigh. Zakaria Bakkali is the other player that got injured in the game against Málaga CF. The scans made to the Belgian winger detected a muscle injury on his right leg, both men are the only ones at the injury room.

Meanwhile, Luisinho and Guilherme are the two men suspended after seeing the fifth yellow card of the season in the game with Málaga CF. The big surprise was too see Juanfran Moreno on the roster, he was expected to return until December after picking a hamstring injury during the international break, but he joined the group during the week and received the medical okay to play on Saturday, so the coach decided to pick him though it isn’t probable that he could start.

Carles Gil received the medical okay on Thursday and entered into the roster for the first time on the season, while Adrián López is back after a month out. The players out for tactical reasons are Tytoń, Saúl Fernández, Borja Valle and Bruno Gama.

Man to watch: Striker Lucas Pérez. The Galician has finally regained his form, and it’s that within his seven appearances for the team he has scored five goals plus providing an assist. He and Adrián are the only players at the team that have scored and assisted in one single game.

Picked players: (18) Pantilimon, Rubén Martínez (goalkeepers); Gerard Valentín, Juanfran, Arribas, Albentosa, Schär, Navarro (defenders); Fede Valverde, Borges, Pedro Mosquera, Edu Expósito, Çolak, Carles Gil, Fede Cartabia, (midfielders); Adrián, Lucas Pérez & Andone (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-3-3) Rubén Martínez – Gerard Valentín, Albentosa, Schär, Navarro – Mosquera, Valverde, Borges – Cartabia, Lucas, Adrián.

With Ernesto Valverde leaving during the summer, José Ángel Ziganda arrived in Bilbao and is still trying to find a pattern to play good football and convince the fans with the outcomes. The results have been poor and recently the team has rescued some results only by the improvisation.

On the part weekend the Basques only rescued a point against Villarreal CF after the entries of Rico, Susaeta and Aketxe (from 0-1 to 1-1), while in the Europa League they were twice in disadvantage against Hertha Berlin, and only the entries at half-time of Iturraspe and Susaeta helped to achieve a vital comeback (from 1-2 to 3-2). So, the new coach is still trying to find the key to build up a strong starting lineup.

Team news: There are two casualties for the game against Deportivo. Midfielder Beñat Etxebarria is out for an undefined period of time due to a groin injury, meanwhile winger Iker Muniain was operated in October from a knee injury and won’t return until 2018.

Man to watch: Striker Aritz Aduriz. The ageless marksman of Athletic Club is the top-scorer of the team in liga (5) and is living a sweet moment, within his last four appearances for the club he has scored four goals, including a brace on Thursday against Hertha Berlin.

Picked players: (19) Kepa Arrizabalaga, Iago Herrerín (goalkeepers); Eneko Bóveda, Enrik Saborit, Aymeric Laporte, Iñigo Lekue, Xabier Etxeita, Balenziaga, Unai Núñez (defenders); Mikel San José, Iturraspe, Susaeta, Mikel Rico, De Marcos, Raúl García, Ager Aketxe, Iñigo Córdoba (midfielders)
Iñaki Williams & Aduriz (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Kepa – Lekue, Unai Núñez, Laporte, Balenziaga – San José, Iturraspe -  Iñaki Williams, Raúl García, Iñigo Córdoba – Aduriz.
