Deportivo continue to lose and did it committing the same old errors. New mistake of Ruben, while the new signings have a terrible match.

The seven notes from the game at Real Sociedad:

1- Déjŕ vu: The worst part of the defeat wasn’t the humiliation of the big score, it was that Depor lost a game committing the same big errors. Parralo still insisting in playing with an offensive approach that doesn’t work and continues to trust in a goalkeeper that fails game after game.  The speech of insisting until it works out won’t succeed if the errors are repeated.

2- Offensive approach: Once again Parralo presented an offensive lineup, a 4-2-3-1 figure with two centre midfielders that are more used to be in offensive tasks and with four attackers in front of them. The result was a broken team that was unable to mark at the moment of losing the ball, and that later it lacked depth. The result was a team that only completed four shots, and only one of them was on target (Lucas when the score was already 2-0).

3- New error from Rubén: It’s hard to explain why Rubén Martínez continues to play. Especially since new signing Maksím Kóval was on the bench. He had already committed three errors that lead to a goal from the rival, and he failed again in this game. More precisely, he was totally misplaced in the free-kick that meant the second goal, a goal that killed the game provoking the disaster witnessed in the final minutes.

4- The half of the shots on target are ending in goals: Within the last eleven matchdays, the 50.8% of the shots on target made by the rivals have ended in goals. The average of the rest of la liga teams in the same period is 68%.

5- Terrible game for Bóveda and Krohn-Dehli: The winter signings are supposed to add things, but in this Deportivo they are resting. Bóveda was negatively involved in four of the five goals and failed twice, in the fourth he collided with Schär allowing Elustondo to score at will, while in the fifth he was the one assisting Agirretxe in order to face Rubén one-on-one. Meanwhile, Krohn-Dehli only made 34 touches and was inexistent in offense, to make things worse one bad pass made by him ended in the first goal.

6- Two straight big losses playing on the road: For the fifth time in their history, Deportivo is losing two straight away games leaking at least five goals in each meeting (7-1 at Real Madrid and 5-0 at Real Sociedad). The previous opportunity this occurred was for the season 1966/67: 5-0 at FC Barcelona and 5-1 at Valencia CF.

7- The worst defence in 35 years: Depor is not only the worst defence at Primera División, but it’s also the worst defence at Primera in 35 years. The Galicians have allowed 51 goals in 22 matchdays, the previous worst mark was during the campaign 1981/82: Castellón CF (54).
