Disappointing game for Fabril, the lads didn’t seize the numeric advantage in the second half and wasted the opportunity to reach the second spot.

Coach Gustavo Munúa was still having the casualties of Uxio Dapena, Ismael Díaz, Luismi and Bicho , but Borja Galán was returning from a suspension and went directly into the starting eleven.

The lineup was a 4-2-3-1 figure with Francis Uzoho was covering the goal, Blas Alonso performed at the right-back position, Steve One and Quique Fornos were the centre-backs, Diego Caballo performed at the left flank. Carlos López and Álvaro Queijeiro were the centre midfielders, Óscar García attacked from the right wing. Borja Galán did it from the left, Jorge Romay was the playmaker and Jardel was the centre forward.

The rival was Real Valladolid B, team with a negative streak of six straight games without wins, reason why they were penultimate at the standings. Coach Miguel Rivera was relying in Luis Suárez in attack, he has scored six goals before this meeting.

Fabril never settled in the game, it allowed two goals when they were playing better and, with a numeric advantage in the final part, it was unable to create scoring opportunities. Luis Fernández was the best player as he changed things in the final 45 minutes, but it wasn’t enough to add points.

The game started with Valladolid B trying to push and the locals had control of the actions within the first ten minutes, then Fabril started to recover some field thanks to the high pressure, but the lads weren’t creating scoring opportunities and neither completed shots.

It seemed that Fabril were growing in the game, but then the locals scored. It was secondary play in a corner-kick in which Mario Robles found the ball to score from close range. Depor’s lads weren’t reacting properly and to make things worse, Óscar had to be replaced due to injury reasons.

Lucas Viña entered for him and covered the left side in defence, with Caballo moving forward into the left wing.  Jardel had the best chance in the half for Fabril, but the Portuguese missed the target from inside the area after a collective play (44’).

The second half started with a more aggressive Fabril, Luis Fernández replaced Borja Galán and the lads were pushing for the equalizer. The locals were in trouble as Mario was sent off after a late tackle over Luis.

And just when the equalizer was closer, the locals scored the second goal in a counterattack ended by top-scorer Luis Suárez. But Fabril reacted quickly and pulled a lucky goal, Luis attempted a long-distance shot, the ball hit the back of a rival and fooled local goalie Dennis.

30 minutes were remaining, but Fabril were unable to create scoring opportunities. A desperate Munúa tried to wake up his team with the entry of Sergio Ortuño, but the team never reacted despite playing with one more man for 40 minutes.

Poor game for a Fabril that allowed two goals when it was playing better, Luis Fernández revitalized the team with his entry, but it wasn’t enough to get a good result. Fabril are now third at the standings, tied in point with the 4th and the 5th places.  The next game is the visit to CF Talavera de la Reina (Sunday, 12h00 CET).
