Depor dropped two points, but the coach and the players remain optimistic regarding the survival chances of the team. The coach of Sevilla was upset for the large number of chances that were missed.

For Clarence Seedorf the game wasn’t crazy as it looked from the outside, “I didn’t see that.  I believe the first half was balanced in game and opportunities. Sevilla have quality and managed to have the ball possession coming from the back, but didn’t create too many chances. Neither us. In the second half the difference was important, we had more opportunities before a rival with world level players, so it’s a merit for the defensive intensity. We sought the goal and it didn’t arrive, but we got a point and keep adding.”

He was keeping the positive speech despite dropping two points, “We have spent three straight games adding and we keep the confidence. I wish luck to Sevilla on Saturday, they entered in order to win and in the end we drew. We made a great game, adding a point and let’s see what happens tomorrow. We made our part leaving everything on the field, no one can reproach anything to them team and the public was fantastic.”

The Dutchman wasn’t feeling sorry for the wasted opportunities in the game, “I still happy for been creating opportunities, a coach must be worried if he sees that his team isn’t creating opportunities. We will win creating chances, we are still creating them, but sometimes the ball enters and sometimes it doesn’t.”

Asked about the changes, he commented that, “The team was fine, we cannot make changes just for doing it. The entry of Bakkali wasn’t just for him, it was more as we needed to change the system. We didn’t have more midfielders, Mosquera was done and Guilherme was tired, we needed to change the system and Bakkali was an option to do it.”

The coach was also commenting the exit of Krohn-Dehli during the first half, “He suffered a strong blow below the eye, later he was dizzy. I think that people fail to protect themselves. It was that. He is fine and surely tomorrow we will know how he is.”

He was also praising the performance of Ruben Martínez, “He has made a great game, and not only today. He has been fine during several weeks Albentosa was great, also Schär. All of them are prepared. Luisinho was also spectacular. There are also people like Fernando Navarro, always positive playing or not playing.”

Finally, Seedorf was talking of this late reaction by Deportivo, “We had a change of attitude against Betis. At home against Espanyol we deserved three points, the only thing we missed was a victory and it arrived too late for what the players were doing on the pitch. We missed details to get the first win. But we cannot remove what was made before and this would have been impossible without the reaction of the group.”

Celso Borges is optimistic despite the countless chances failed by Deportivo, “We keep a good line of game, the team has a clear idea of what we must do. The attitude of the public demonstrates that we are in the right direction, and I am totally convinced that we are moving forward. Truly it’s hard to not end the opportunities, but this is life and we must wake up tomorrow. “

“They made a good game, and in the second half we surpassed their game. There were good saves by Rubén and also by their keeper. This is football too. We cannot say that the reaction arrived too late, only that this is the right attitude to face the reality.” The midfielder added.

Centre-back Raúl Albentosa was confessing that he ended exhausted after the game, “I am really tired, it has been a while since I don’t end so tired. The true is that I needed ice as my muscles were really tired.”

He was also optimistic about the surviving chances of Depor, “We still have a lot of games, in two games everything can change. We will keep focused in our situation and nothing more. Levante can lose twice and we can win twice. We have a positive dynamic and must stay on.”

At Sevilla CF, Vincenzo Montella was upset as his team missed too many opportunities, "I'm tired of commenting that we don’t score, it's a reality, now we have to focus on reaching Europe, I didn’t like the end, because we could have lost, but I liked the attitude of the team, we had control of the game, but I don’t want to talk about failed occasions... I'm a little angry, because it's not the first time we cannot win and we have done everything, maybe it's not a coincidence, but I'm confident that we'll end up in Europe. "
