Depor’s coach explained why Borges wasn’t picked for the game and hopes to leave a positive impression. Villarreal’s coach was warning of the difficulty of the rival.

Clarence Seedorf addressed the media on Friday’s afternoon. He is leaving the door open in order to continue on next season and wants to win the last home game of the season. The following is a summary of the things he said.

Will you continue at Depor? “I can talk of my side of the door. The door of the side of the club must be talked with them. Mine is wide open.”

Possible protests from the fans: “If people want to live in negativity, then I don’t share it. Is it helpful? Will you feel better? I am expecting for a positive environment. Football is pretty and it isn’t a war. I’ve no opinion on this. If it was it me, then I would try to see my kids enjoying a good day of football.”

Motivation of the team: “I want to end the year in the best possible way and want to win the last home match. This group deserves it. Later we will have time to talk of the future. I will like to end in the best possible way and that people can remember it, because the daily work has been impressive.”

Feelings inside the squad: “Let's say that the derby came after the week of the relegation and that's why it was a complicated week, it was easier now, because it’s a bit further away. It’s still difficult and because of how they are training it was shown their great professionalism. We want to finish as best as possible.”

Borges: “Celso Borges has earned the respect of everyone, he has done his job, I don’t see why risking him in a game that isn’t useful for him, and it allows us to give a chance to another player like Valverde. I wish Celso the best, he has been a great professional all this time, he has given everything he could and at this moment I think it’s fair that he can prepare the World Cup.”

Meeting with Del Pozo: “We have met these days, only a few minutes, because the preparation for this game was fundamental. I welcome him publicly and I hope he can help this club get back where it deserves. Our focus now was to prepare this match.”

Javier Calleja addressed the media on Friday’s afternoon. He warned that Depor are going to be a tough rival, but sat the same time he sees the game as the key to secure the European spot. The following is a summary of the things he said.

The situation at the standings: “If we have the privilege to depend on ourselves, it is because we have made the right things throughout the year, so we can enter into the Europa League now. I valorize everything a lot. I see equality and that it was difficult to win every game.”

Key game: “The players are mentalized and highly motivated. When you depend of yourself you need to focus in the three points. We are sixth and have a direct meeting [Betis Vs. Sevilla], but are going out for the victory. It would be the reward for the work done throughout the year.”

Deportivo: “It’s a team with quality players, and to see that a team like Deportivo haven’t been able to achieve the permanence, it says a lot of the equality of la liga.”

Expectations for the game: “I am waiting for a motivated rival, one without any physiological trauma and the pressure for the points. I am waiting for a relaxed team willing to achieve the victory in their last home game. They would want to give a joy to the fans. They will try to harm us having the ball. We need to defend properly and seize the lack of order as they will be searching for our goal.”

Rotations for the game? “Not too many, the players will replace the tiredness with the motivation to play the Europa League.”
