Albacete Balompié is the only team that remains undefeated at Segunda, while Málaga CF clinched a new win. Córdoba CF and Elche CF remain winless.

UD Las Palmas lost in its visit to Sporting Gijón (1-0), so Albacete Balompié is now the only team that remains undefeated at Segunda despite dropping a two-goal lead against Real Zaragoza. Los Manchegos were winning 2-0 by minute 20, but ended drawing 2-2.

Málaga CF took advantage of these setbacks and won again, and again a narrow win, this time over recently promoted Rayo Majadahonda (1-0). It’s the fourth time they won 1-0. The Andalusians have won six of the seven games played so far and have a four-point lead at the top.

Granada CF, Deportivo and AD Alcorcón also moved forward thanks to their victories, the Andalusians dispatched Córdoba CF (4-2), the Galicians won on the road visiting Gimnástic Tarragona (1-3), and the Madrilenians beat Real Oviedo (2-0). These three teams are now tied in points with UD Las Palmas.

RCD Mallorca rescued a point visiting CD Lugo (1-1) and are only two points below the promotion zone, while Almería UD is reacting after a poor start and clinched a new win, this time over C Reus (2-0). They are now one point behind the Majorcans.

8 Mallorca 11 6 6

Two teams remain winless; Córdoba CF, side that’s the worst defence (18 goals allowed), and Elche CF, the latter rescued a point visiting Extremadura UD scoring twice within the last ten minutes (2-2), but it isn’t enough to avoid the relegation zone.

CD Tenerife and José Luis Oltra clinched their first win on the season over Cádiz CF (1-0), while CA Osasuna and CD Numancia remain in nowhere’s land after starring in the lonely goalless draw in this matchday.
