DEPORTIVO IN DECEMBER

28 Nov 2018
Deportivo are ending 2018 with four liga games, the first three against teams in bad shape and the year ends with a meeting against the most in-form team in the league.

December arrives with Depor lying among the first two places for the first team on the season. The Galicians are ending 2018 facing four league meetings, in the first three the rivals aren’t passing through their best moment.

Rayo Majadahonda is the first of the list, the Madrilenians have lost three of the last six games in the league, but they should be content as, in their debuting season at the second-tier, they are currently out of relegation (four-point gap), which is a great outcome taking in mind they are the third lowest salary cap at Liga 1|2|3.

The last five games by Rayo Majadahonda:

Matchday 11 MAJADAHONDA 1 OSASUNA 1
Matchday 12 ALCORCÓN 2 MAJADAHONDA 0
Matchday 13 MAJADAHONDA 2 ALMERIA 0
Matchday 14 NUMANCIA 1 MAJADAHONDA 2
Matchday 15 TENERIFE 2 MAJADAHONDA 1

Then Depor face two straight games at home. The first one is welcoming CD Numancia, a team in a bad moment after losing four of the last six games in the competition. Their main problem is the lack of goal, Los Numantinos have ended scoreless in four of their last six games and have only netted 13 goals after 15 matchdays, which is the fourth worst mark in the league.

The last five games by Numancia:

Matchday 11 MALAGA 2 NUMANCIA 0
Matchday 12 NUMANCIA 2 TENERIFE 0
Matchday 13 GRANADA 0 NUMANCIA 0
Matchday 14 NUMANCIA 1 MAJADAHONDA 2
Matchday 15 MALLORCA 1 NUMANCIA 0

Real Zaragoza is the next team visiting the Riazor. The Aragonians are the main disappointments of the season. It was expected to see them fighting for the top places after ending third last year, but at this point they have only won three games and are out of relegation only by the goal difference rule. Lucas Alcaraz is the new coach after the exit of Imanol Idiakez.

The last five games by Zaragoza:

Matchday 11 ELCHE 2 ZARAGOZA 0
Matchday 12 ZARAGOZA 0 GRANADA 2
Matchday 13 GIMNÁSTIC 1 ZARAGOZA 3
Matchday 14 ZARAGOZA 2 MALLORCA 2
Matchday 15 ALCORCON 2 ZARAGOZA 0

And 2018 ends with Depor visiting Cádiz CF. This s the most difficult challenge in the month as the Andalusians are the most in-form team in the league. Only one month ago they were more pending of the relegation zone, but then they chained five straight victories and currently are only one point below the promotion zone. They even defeated RCD Espanyol in the first-leg of Copa Del Rey.

The last five games by Cádiz:

COPA CADIZ 2 ESPANYOL 1
Matchday 12 CADIZ 5 ELCHE 1
Matchday 13 CADIZ 2 REUS 0
