Vitor Silva was signed, but won’t available for the game. Natxo González is thinking of returning to the 4-3-1-2. The rival arrives with Pepe Mel as their new coach.

More doubts surround Deportivo after the latest draw against AD Alcorcón, the final phase of the season has arrived and, for the first time in months, the team is already three or more points away from the first two places, so the upcoming game with UD Las Palmas turns to be vital (Riazor, Sunday, 20h00 CET).

Coach Natxo González saw how the list of players at his side was increased to 25 after the club decided to sign Vitor Silva, but the centre midfielder isn’t available for this game after picking a muscle problem on last week. He should join the group until next Monday.

Neither Michael Krohn-Dehli (Achilles) nor Carlos Fernández (muscle) will be available, the good news with the Danish midfielder is that the doctors believe he will join the group in two weeks, on this Monday he already started to work apart, but on the pitch, which is a sign of evolution.

Meanwhile, Michele Somma skipped the first two training sessions on the week due to a knock, but he was training with the group on Friday and will be available. The coach has made several tests during the week and it’s expected that he will return to the diamond figure (4-3-1-2).

UD Las Palmas arrive to the meeting with the big novelty that Pepe Mel is the new coach after Paco Herrera was fired on Monday. The ex-Depor boss is the third coach of the team and is urgently looking for a reaction that could pull the team into the playoff zone.

The Canarians could be living a bad moment, but at least they haven’t been affected by injuries. The last case was midfielder Danny Blum back in December. On Wednesday centre midfielder David Timor didn’t end the session due to a knock, but he should be available for Sunday.

Still, UD Las Palmas will have two casualties for the game at the Riazor, centre-back Juan Cala is suspended for the meeting after been sent off against Extremadura UD, while attacker Rafa Mir is also suspended after seen a fifth yellow card at the last minute of the same match. Both are sensitive casualties, Cala has been a starter in 26 of the 28 games played so far, and Mir (5) is the second-best scorer at the team behind Rubén Castro (11).
