Carlos Fernández and Cartabia remain doubtful, David Simón is missing the game against a rival fighting to survive, but in good shape.

A desperate Deportivo need the points in order to return into the playoff zone, José Luis Martí faces his first home meeting before nervous fans that don’t want more mistakes as Extremadura UD visit the Riazor (Sunday, 16h00 CET).

And the casualties for injury reasons are still affecting the team.  Right-back David Simón remain out with a muscle problem and will skip the game. The same goes for midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli, who hasn’t evolved positively from his Achilles injury.

There could be more casualties for the game. Carlos Fernández and Fede Cartabia are training with the group, but their participation in the game will be decided until Saturday. The Argentine playmaker seems to be in the better position as he was even tested as a possible starter during the week. In the case of the Andalusian striker, the coaching staff might be more cautious with him after the continuous muscle problem suffered by the player during this campaign.

At Extremadura UD, the team is fighting with CD Lugo and Real Zaragoza in order to avoid the relegation zone. Ex-Fabril Manu Mosquera is the coach of the team and has added 13 points in 7 games. Their last away game meant to defeat Málaga CF at La Rosaleda (1-2).

There are no injury cases at the team, striker Chuli surpassed complications from a previous Achilles injury, but wasn’t included in the roster for the game, while right winger Alberto Perea passed a late test after surpassing a thigh injury.
