Currently, Deportivo have 20 players at the first team. There’s already one signing and five men are returning from a loan spell.

The season 2018/19 officially ended on Sunday. Now Deportivo must move forward and play a new Segunda season searching for the promotion to the elite. Currently there are 20 players at the first team, 14 were at Depor on the season that has just ended, five are returning from loans and the remaining man is the first signing made for the new campaign.

Of the 25 men that ended the past campaign at the first team, 11 have ended their link with the club: Adrián Ortolá, Domingos Duarte, Pablo Mari, Iñigo López, Saúl García, Sebastián Dubarbier, Víctor Silva, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Didier Moreno, Nahuel Leiva and Carlos Fernández.

Of this list, Carmelo Del Pozo only expects to recover Pablo Mari, though the return of the centre-back would be complicated for his situation at Manchester City. He ends his contract in June of 2020 and a new loan spell won’t be possible. Depor would have to pay a transfer and that seems improbable taking in mind the current financial situation.

The 14 men that stay at the team from last season are Dani Giménez, David Simón, Eneko Bóveda, Michelle Somma, Diego Caballo, Edu Expósito, Álex Bergantiños, Pedro Mosquera, Vicente Gómez, Pedro Sánchez, Fede Cartabia, Quique González, Christian Santos & Borja Valle.

Then there are five players that return from loan spells: Francis, Róber Pier, Gerard Valentín, Juanfran Moreno and Diego Rolan. The list of 20 men that currently compose the first team is completed with centre-back Vassilios Lampropoulos, who was signed last week.
