Striker Mamadou Koné was presented on Tuesday. He explained the situation with his past injuries and hopes to have a solid season at Deportivo.

Mamadou Koné was presented on Tuesday. He explained why he chose to play for Depor, “Since a long time ago Carmelo is relying in me. He is a good friend of mine. I didn’t think twice when he came to talk to me. Deportivo La Coruña attracts all the players.”

The Ivorian attacker also explained his case with the injuries, “I didn’t have too many injuries; what happens is that they arrived in crucial moments and all at the same time. This season I will try to do my best for Deportivo and hope to be respected by the injuries.”

“At Leganés I wasn’t injured; it was just that I didn’t have minutes. Then I went loaned to Belgium and didn’t have injuries after playing several games, then I came back to Málaga in order to play and hoped to have a good season, but it wasn’t like that. I hope the injuries will respect me now.” He added.

Koné also said that coach Anquela knows the players from past seasons and that it’s an advantage, “We are adapting to the playing style, and the true is that the coach knows almost all the players and that will be good for us.”
