NOLASKOAIN SIGNS FOR DEPOR

The club announced on Friday the arrival of Peru Nolaskoain, the eighth signing of the season is a multifunctional player that can perform as a centre-back or as a centre midfielder.

On Friday the club announced the signing of Peru Nolaskoain Esnal. The 21-year-old player arrives loaned from Athletic Club and will join the trainings on Monday, just days before the debut in liga against Real Oviedo.

Peru Nolaskoain is a multifunctional player that can perform as a centre-back and also as a centre midfielder. He arrived to Athletic Club in 2015 and starting playing with the Juvenile team. For the season 2016/17, been 18, he was promoted to the B squad (Bilbao Athletic) playing at Segunda B.

His first season was promising and completed 22 appearances scoring once, mainly he performed at midfield. One season later he became a normal starter and performed in 37 of the 38 league games with the B squad and was even picked by the first team.

For the campaign 2018/19, coach Eduardo Berizzo promoted his to the first team, this time in order to perform as a centre-back and, at the age of 20, the Basque managed to make 8 appearances at Primera, it called the attention that he scored twice playing against CD Leganes and Getafe CF, both goals came after heading a corner-kick.

But Berizzo was fired after only 14 games and Gaizka Gartiano replaced him. The ex-Depor coach sent back Nolaskoain to Bilbao Athletic and he managed to complete 18 appearances at Segunda B. For the season that’s about to start the club decided that the player needed minutes in a superior league to Segunda B and that’s why they opened the door to a possible loan spell.

Peru Nolaskoain is the eighth signing for Deportivo ahead of the Segunda season 2019/20. The previous reinforcements that joined the club are goalkeeper Koke Vegas, centre-back Vassilios Lampropoulos, left-back Luis Ruiz, winger Borja Galán, playmakers Ager Aketxe and Gaku Shibasaki, plus striker Mamadou Koné.
