Deportivo Fabril is back at Tercera División and launches a new attempt to return to Segunda B on Sunday. Only Álex Cobo and Iago Gandoy remain from the team that started last season.

The Tercera season starts this Sunday for Fabril with the visit to CD Barco (19h00 CET). After the disastrous season that ended with the relegation from Segunda B, coach José Luis Miguez ‘Luisito’ stays in order to command the attempt of a quick return to the third tier of Spanish football.

Once again there were multiple changes at the squad; actually only Álex Cobo and Iago Gandoy remain from the team that started last campaign at Segunda B. There’s also the case of Diego Villarres, who was signed last season and sent loaned to Racing Vilalbés during the winter window.

The squad is currently composed by 21 players, there are four slots available and the club has been testing lads within the last weeks; actually the team played a friendly on Monday (1-1 Vs. Betanzos CF) and there were three players on trial. The market closes until January 31 as the transfer window is open during seven months.

There are four foreign players at the team: Moldavian keeper Viorel Boian, French midfielder Jawed Boumeddane, Cameroonian midfielder Famoussa Kanoute and Ukrainian winger Yevhen Pidlepenets. New president Paco Zas promised that the club will be paying more attention to the academy and that lads from Fabril will be taken into account for the composition of the first team.
