First away game on the season and Depor visit one of the demoted teams from Primera. Anquela might repeat the lineup as Caballo is already fit to play.

Referee: Daniel Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos
VAR Official: Aitor Gorostegui Fernández Ortega
Kick-off: 19h00 CET (El Alcoraz)

Deportivo have faced SD Huesca in four opportunities playing in official games and the Galicians won the four meetings. The last season both sides coincided in a league was the Segunda campaign 2011/12. Oltra’s Depor won at El Alcoraz with goals from Colotto and Riki (0-2). Then, in the penultimate matchday, Riki and and Xisco scored to certify the promotion to Primera (2-1).

The Galicians will try to repeat the away numbers of last season; because they were the fourth best visiting team in the league, with 30 points added in 21 visits, mark only below Granada CF, Málaga CF and Albacete Balompié (the three of them with 34 points)

There wasn’t any transfer novelty after the moves from last week, so coach Juan Antonio Anquela has the same squad for matchday 02. Besides, the coach said in his press conference that he is open to repeat the lineup as continuity is one of his characteristics.

Still, there could be a move in attack if Anquela decides to give a chance to Christian Santos, who scored the winner against Real Oviedo. If the Venezuelan starts, then Borja Valle would be benched and Mamado Koné would be moved to the wing.

Team news: Once again there are no injury concerns for the game, Diego Caballo was operated from a broken nose, but it’s fit to play as long as he uses a protective mask. Pedro Sánchez is available after been suspended and claims the spot of Diego Rolán at the roster, who seems to be at the door out.

Man to watch: Attacker Mamadou Koné , the Ivorian impressed with his speed facing Real  Oviedo, and at El Alcoraz he will meet a defensive line that’s under construction, therefore there should be plenty of space for him.

Picked players: (19) Dani Giménez, Koke Vegas (goalkeepers); David Simón, Eneko Bóveda, Vassilios Lampropoulos, Michele Somma, Luis Ruiz, Diego Caballo (defenders); Álex Bergantiños, Vicente Gómez, Gaku Shibasaki, Peru Nolaskoain, Borja Galán, Ager Aketxe, Pedro Sánchez (midfielders); Borja Valle, Mamadou Koné, Christian Santos & Samuele Longo (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Dani Giménez – Bóveda, Lampropoulos, Somma, Caballo – Álex Bergantiños, Gaku – Borja Valle, Aketxe, Borja Galán - Koné.
Last season, the dream of SD Huesca quickly became into a nightmare; after only nine seasons at Segunda they clinched the promotion to the elite, but not only suffered the demotion spending the major part of the time at the bottom place, but also were humiliated as the name of the club was involved in the Oikos case, the latest match fixing scandal that ended with their president, Agustín Lasaosa, in jail.

Manuel Torres is the president now and the Aragonians want to forget as soon as possible the bad experience. The aid for the relegation plus the money received for the transfers of Melero (€3.6 million) and Enric Gallego (€6 million) are putting the club among the top-three in terms of salary cap. It’s calculated that they will be around the €18 million, which is almost the double than Deportivo.

So, it’s expected that they will be among the favourites to clinch the promotion to Primera. They have signed interesting players in attack like Juan Carlos Real and Cristo, but still need reinforcements in defence. They just signed keeper Rubén Yáñez and centre-back Josué Sá.

Team news: The big doubt is if Josué Sá will be a starter; he was signed on Friday and Michel told to reporters he hasn’t made the decision yet. If not academy player Kike Hermoso will continue to play at the centre of the defence. Who isn’t ready yet is Pablo Insua, who is not fit after suffering a knee injury. New signing b>Cristo might be an alternative in attack, though it’s expected that  Dani Escriché will continue upfront.

Man to watch: Midfielder Pedro Mosquera. The Galician player left Depor three weeks ago and will now face his former club. He had an acceptable performance in the debut against UD Las Palmas and all eyes will be upon him after his weird exit from Deportivo (he was fired and there’s a pending meeting to resolve his indemnification).

Picked players: To be released on Sunday

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Álvaro Fernández – Miguelon, Jorge Pulido, Kike Hermoso, Luisinho –Mikel Rico, Mosquera - David Ferreiro, Juan Carlos, Raba - Dani Escriché.
