DEPORTIVO IN NOVEMBER

31 Oct 2019
A winless Deportivo continue to suffer at Segunda División, November could be the month for redemption facing three rivals in nowhere’s land plus the surprise of the campaign.

Very different scenario for Deportivo compared to what was expected. The fans were hoping to see a team trying to bounce back after last season’s disappointment, and only found out a team that lies at the bottom of the standings with only one victory. But November could be the month for redemption as the team faces four games, three of them against teams that are also having problems.

The toughest game in the month is the next one; the visit to Fuenlabrada CF. The Madrilenians are not only a newcomer from Segunda B, but also a debutant at the second tier.  And they are doing a great job as they are currently third. But they seem to be losing some gas as three of their four defeats on the season came within their las six games.

The last five games by Fuenlabrada:

Matchday 10 FUENLABRADA 2 SPORTING 0
Matchday 11 MIRANDÉS 2 FUENLABRADA 1
Matchday 06 FUENLABRADA 2 ZARAGOZA 1
Matchday 12 FUENLABRADA 0 ALBACETE 1
Matchday 13 LAS PALMAS 1 FUENLABRADA 3

Then Depor return to the Riazor in order to face Elche CF. The Andalusians built up a team for this season with the hope of aspiring to the playoff zone, but currently they are only three points above demotion, and the reason for this is to have lost three of their last five games.

The last five games by Elche:

Matchday 09 EXTREMADURA 2 ELCHE 0
Matchday 10 ELCHE 1 RAYO 1
Matchday 11 GIRONA 0 ELCHE 2
Matchday 12 ELCHE 0 SPORTING 1
Matchday 13 HUESCA 2 ELCHE 0

At the middle of the month, the Galicians have to pay a visit to Extremadura UD. The most in-form team at the end of last season is now having an irregular performance. They started without achieving a victory within the first seven matchdays, then chained three straight wins and now they are back into the pit after only adding one of the last nine points in dispute.

The last five games by Extremadura:

Matchday 09 EXTREMADURA 2 ELCHE 0
Matchday 10 TENERIFE 1 EXTREMADURA 2
Matchday 11 EXTREMADURA 1 PONFERRADINA 1
Matchday 12 EXTREMADURA 0 RAYO 3
Matchday 13 ALMERIA 3 EXTREMADURA 2

November ends with AD Alcorcón visiting the Riazor. The Madrilenians were also hoping to recover some of their past glory and aspire to promotion, but currently they are in nowhere’s land after been unable to achieve straight victories on the season. However, they are very dangerous playing on the road; actually they are the only ones at Segunda that haven’t lost in this condition. They added 13 points playing away from home, mark only below Cádiz CF (15).

The last five games of Alcorcón:

Matchday 09 RAYO 1 ALCORCÓN 1
Matchday 10 ALCORCÓN 0 ALBACETE 1
Matchday 11 SPORTING 1 ALCORCÓN 3
