Another draw on the road; Deportivo conceded too much in the first half and only rescued a point thanks to an isolated play by Koné.

Coach Luis César Sampedro decided to play with a 4-4-2 formation. For it Ager Aketxe was benched for the first time on the season and Samuele Longo stayed at the starting lineup joining Mamadou Koné in attack.

Dani Giménez was the starting goalkeeper, Eneko Bóveda covered the right side in defence, the left flank was for Salva Ruiz, while the central positions were covered by Vassilios Lampropoulos and Javi Montero. Midfield was territory for Peru Nolaskoain and Álex Bergantiños. Saša Jovanović attacked from the right wing, Borja Valle did it from the left, then Longo and Koné were the centre forwards.

At Fuenlabrada CF, coach Mere Hermoso kept the 4-4-2 figure, but with ex-Depor Oriol Riera as one of the centre forwards. The other references in attack were Hugo Fraile and Randy Nteka.

Another poor first half by Deportivo and another game in which the Galicians were trailing since the first part. Neither Fuenlabrada CF did too much, but at least the Madrilenians had order and seized their best opportunity to claim the lead.

The game started with Fuenlabrada CF having the ball and pushing in attack; their first attempt was a corner-kick action in which Oriol Riera sent the ball out (8’). Deportivo weren’t feeling comfortable on the pitch, they were losing the ball pretty quickly at midfield and the game was taking place at the visiting side of the pitch.

The first approximation for Depor was a quick counterattack in which Álex Bergantiños sent the ball over the crossbar (13’).  The game was following the same script of the whole season, because the team was doing nothing and Fuenlabrada CF found the first goal.

It was quick attack by the centre in which Claveria assisted Hugo Fraile and he scored with a strong volley from outside the area, Dani Giménez could have done better as he was standing at the box.

There was no reaction from Deportivo and the locals could have scored the second goal in a forced play at the edge of the area that ended with Mikel Iribas hitting the net by the outside (34’). The best play for Depor in the half came at minute 37, Peru Nolaskoain fired from the edge of the area, the ball was defected by a defender and the local keeper, Biel Ribas, had to clear the ball over the bar (37’)

Fuenlabrada CF ended the half better and the second goal could have arrived in a double chance for Anderson Emanuel, in the first the Angolan winger fired from inside the area and his attempt was cleared by Bóveda (37’); in the resulting corner-kick he released a cross from inside the area and the ball passed across the goal line and no one was able to push it in.

Deportivo rescued a point, this time it didn’t play well and it only needed to seize an isolated play against a rival that tried, but that didn’t complete a shot on target in this half.

This time Deportivo didn’t have a strong start in the second part, Fuenlabrada CF were still feeling comfortable on the pitch and the locals had the first chance in the second part, it was a counterattack in which Hugo Fraile missed the target (53’). That was going to be their best chance in this half.

Luis César didn’t last in reacting and he allowed the entry of Christian Santos for Longo, and Depor found the equalizer seizing a big error of the defence. Santos tried to chip the ball over the defence, it was a bad attempt, but the local centre-backs failed and Koné got in the middle and managed to chip the ball over the keeper.

Depor were suddenly back into the game and Mollejo replaced Borja Valle. With the tie on, the Madrilenians tried to push in attack and Depor were playing on the counterattack. But despite the game was more dynamic, the true is that both sides were unable to create scoring chances.

So, the game entered to frame of the last 15 minutes with the feeling that the side creating a chance was going to win the game... and it ended in a draw as no one was able to create that opportunity. Borja Galán replaced Saša Jovanović and Fuenlabrada CF seemed closer to win the game, but their set-pieces never created any harm.

Once again Depor played badly in the first half and once again it had to come from behind, but the difference with the game at Racing was that the Blanquiazul outfit didn’t play well in the second part and it rescued a point only for taking advantage of an isolated play, and also because Fuenlabrada CF didn’t demonstrate any skill to justify their current position at the standings.

Deportivo remain winless and living at the bottom of the standings; the next game is the visit of Elche CF to the Riazor (Sunday, 12h00 CET).
