Copa game between two teams that are more worried for their situation in liga. Çolak won’t debut and Fernando Vázquez is presenting a lineup depending on the plan for the liga game with Racing.

Referee: Daniel Ocón Arráiz
Kick-off: 12h00 CET (La Veigona)

Both teams are living similar streaks in their league competitions. Depor are the last place at Segunda División, but the Galicians have chained three straight victories (two in liga and one in Copa) and look to be gaining shape.

Meanwhile, Unionistas de Salamanca are in relegation at group B of Segunda División B, but that have added 11 of the last 15 points in the tournament, and now they are only one point behind safety. The good results arrived with new coach Jabi Luaces, who arrived for matchday 11.

This is the second opportunity in which Unionsitas play in Copa De Rey. Last season they were eliminated by Lorca in the second round, now they want to advance further after eliminating Atlético Baleares in the first round (1-0). Meanwhile, Depor are expecting to pass two rounds in Copa for the first time in eight years. The last time was for the campaign 2010/11, at the time they were eliminated during the quarterfinals tie against UD Almería (agg. 2-4).

Coach Fernando Vázquez admitted that he is 100% focused in Thursday’s game in liga with Racing Santander, and that the lineup for this game is totally conditioned by the next game, so it is normal to see him resting four normal starters. There were no clues during the trainings about the possible lineup, but the coach hinted he might continue with the system of five defender having some differences.

Team news: Only David Simón is staying at the injury room. Mamadou Koné and Gaku Shibasaki received the okay to play, but only the Japanese midfielder is in as the Ivorian attacker is suspended. Three other normal starters are rested: Álex Bergantiños, Somma and Bóveda, while Emre Çolak will have to wait as his transfer hasn’t arrived. Two Fabril’s players were picked for the meeting: Famoussa Kanouté and Mujaid Sadick.

Man to watch: Midfielder Famoussa Kanouté. The 21-year-old player with debut with the first team, he is a centre midfielder, but has also played as a centre-back when Luisito has needed it. Now it’s expected that he will be the third centre-back as Fernando Vázquez wants to continue playing with five men at the back.

Picked players: (18) Dani Giménez, Koke Vegas (goalkeepers); Javi Montero, Vassilios Lampropoulos, Salva Ruiz, Luis Ruiz, Mujaid Sadick (defenders); Vicente Gómez, Gaku Shibasaki, Peru Nolaskoain, Ager Aketxe, Saša Jovanović, Famoussa Kanouté, Víctor Mollejo, Borja Galán (midfielders); Borja Valle, Samuele Longo & Beto da Silva (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (5-4-1) Koke Vegas – Mujaid, Lampropoulos, Kanouté, Montero, Luis Ruiz – Jovanović, Vicente, Gaku, Beto da Silva – Longo.
Unionistas de Salamanca are living their second season at Segunda División B, last season they faced Fabril and now they are facing the first team of Deportivo in Copa del Rey, but beyond feeling the growth, the Castilian-Leonese club is more worried for leaving the relegation zone and secure a third season at the third-tier in Spain. It’s like the case of Deportivo as changes are expected as the priority is the league.

Team news: Coach Jabi Luaces has a healthy squad, but midfielder Javier Ribelles won’t play as he is dragging a knock. They just signed goalkeeper Mario Fernández, but he won’t play as the transfer paperwork hasn’t been completed.

Man to watch: Striker Francisco Grande. The top-scorer in liga for Unionistas with 9 goals. The veteran was rested for the previous game with SD Leioa, and his previous presentation he scored a hat-trick visiting CD Izarra (2-6).

Picked players: Roster to be released on Sunday.

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Brais - Góngora, José Ángel, Gallego, Zubiri - Piojo, Javi Navas - Guille Andrés, De la Nava, Pedro López - Grande.
