Deportivo didn’t have time to celebrate the last victory as it has to play again on Friday. But Fernando Vázquez is happy as he will recover Sabin Merino and Salva Ruiz.

Short week for Deportivo, after the seventh straight win in liga visiting AD Alcorcón, the Galicians had to play again on Friday hosting Girona FC (Riazor, 21h00 CET). So, there’s no time to celebrate the winning streak and the team will only have four training sessions to prepare the meeting.

But despite the little time, coach Fernando Vázquez is receiving the good news that Sabin Merino and Salva Ruiz will be available. The striker skipped Sunday’s game due to a muscle problem, while the left-back is about to complete a month out due to a hamstring injury. Both men are training with the group and should receive the okay from doctors on Thursday.

Dani Giménez has continued with his rehabilitation and has only completed one session with the group during the week, but the keeper should be a starter. So, striker Claudio Beauvue should be the only casualty for Friday as he isn’t recovered from the muscle injury suffered in the last session before facing AD Alcorcón.

Girona FC arrive to the Riazor living a good moment and with a familiar face on the bench: José Luis Martí. The man who failed in the playoff series against RCD Mallorca. The Catalans have been mixing good and bad results, but arrive to the meeting at the fifth place and with a mark of 204 minutes without conceding goals.

Martí has no big injury concerns, only Jonathan Soriano, the attacker has faced several injuries on this season and is currently out since the last defeat of the team, 1-0 at CD Tenerife (January 19). Left-back Johan Mojica is back after a suspension. Centre-back Ignasi Miquel is also back from a suspension, bur he is doubtful due to a muscle problem.
