Mujaid Sadick says that he is ready to play on Sunday, and also confirmed the renewal talks with Deportivo.

Centre-back Mujaid Sadick offered a virtual press conference. He confirmed that he is ready to play after his muscle injury and that it will feel weird to play without public. The defender also confirmed renewal talks with the club. The following is a summary of the main things he said.

Are you ready to be a starter? I am coming from an injury and from been sidelined for three weeks, but I am recovered and Im available for the coach.

Positive for COVID-19: One day I was in London in my familys home, I had fever and one day later I was recovered. And when I arrived here, they told me that I had the virus, and nothing more.

Renewal talks: We have been talking during the quarantine, but its something that isnt in my head right now. I still have two years and am happy. I am more pending of playing the last eleven matchdays and clinch the salvation.

Making five changes per game: We are coming after been out for two months and there will be many injuries. I see positive the fact of making five changes.

Importance of the game against Sporting: I believe the first game is vital, it will be an impulse if we start winning the first game. It would be great. When Fernando Vzquez arrived, we won against Numancia and started to earn confidence. We hope it will continue to be the same.

Is the team ready to compete? I see the team at the top, willing and eager to start the league. Theres a lot of competitiveness at the team.

Playing behind closed doors: The public is vital, especially for us, but what we ca do about it? The fans are the heart of the city and we need to learn how to play without them. I believe it will be weird, but we are going out for the three points. We believe in ourselves. Everybody is in the same situation.

Expectations for the first game: It will be weird, because we have been out for two months. We will see, we will try to score many goals and win the game.
