Referee: Juan Luis Pulido Santana

Kick-off: 17h00 CET (Riazor)

STATISTICS: GOOD MOMENT
Both Deportivo and SD Ponferradina are living a good moment in liga. The club from Ponferrada is undefeated since the break and has added 11 points in its last 6 games, that’s the second-best mark in the period only behind Real Oviedo (12). Meanwhile, Deportivo are one of the six clubs that haven’t lost since the self-isolation and already are out of relegation.

But SD Ponferradina suffer a lot when they play outside home. They have only added 15 points after 17 visits (3 wins and 6 draws), and that’s the third worst mark in the league, only above Girona FC (14) and CD Numancia (12).

Neither Deportivo are having a good season playing at the Riazor. The Galicians have only added 23 points after 17 home meetings. It’s the sixth worst mark in the league, only above CD Lugo (22), Albacete Balompié (19), AD Alcorcón (16), Extremadura UD (16) and Racing Santander (15).  But to have in mind that Depor have the third best home streak in the league after changing 8 straight home games without losing, precisely SD Ponferradina have the best current streak (13) followed by CD Tenerife (9).

DEPORTIVO: ROTATIONS
Coach Fernando Vázquez will continue with his policy of making rotations in some specific positions. He will allow the debut as a starter of Iago Gandoy, while Christian Santos is set to join Claudio Beauvue in attack. He will use the system of three centre-backs that worked at Elche CF, including the presence of Álex Bergantiños, but this time it will be a more offensive approach as Hugo Vallejo and Víctor Mollejo were tested as starters on the sides.

Team news: Salva Ruiz is recovered from a hamstring issue and is back into the roster. Gaku Shibasaki is suspended after been sent off at Elche CF. Keko Gontán picked a muscle injury in the last session and joins Peru Nolaskoain and Michele Somma at the injury room. Right-back Jorge Valín is recovered from a hamstring injury and joins Iago Gandoy as the Fabril’s players picked for the match.

Man to watch: Midfielder Iago Gandoy. The 21-year-old Fabril’s player is set to start as Gaku and Keko are out of the meeting.  It would be his first appearance as a starter in liga. He already was a starter in Copa, but in liga he only played 5 minutes between the games against Cádiz CF and UD Las Palmas.

PONFERRADINA: PRUDENT
It has been a solid season for SD Ponferradina, the goal has always been the permanence, but at this point the team is only two points below the promotion zone and they have a ten-point mattress over relegation. But they don’t want to hear about Primera División until mathematically securing the permanence, as coach on Pérez Bolo said before the draw with Racing Santander, “We won’t change the goal until math say that we are from Segunda for one more year.”

Team news: No fresh injuries for coach Bolo, but he will keep using rotations as his team is only having three days to rest after the game against Racing Santander.

Man to watch: Striker Yuri de Souza. This 37-year-old veteran remains to be the main thread of SD Ponferradina. He is the second best scorer in the league with 17 goals added to his tally, and is coming from netting a goal against Racing Santander, goal that meant to tie with Marcos Tyrone as the best scorers in the history of the club (156 goals).

Picked players: (23) Rene Román Manu García (goalkeepers); Iván Rodríguez, José Antonio Ríos, Francisco Hidalgo ‘Son’, Franco Russo, Pablo Trigueros, Luis Valcarce, Maxi Villa, Fabián Noguera (defenders); Óscar Sielva, Saúl Crespo, Pablo Larrea, Nacho Gil, Fran Manzanara, Pablo Valcarce, Javi Navarro, Asier Benito, Omar Ramos, Francesc Fullana (midfielders); Yuri de Souza, Álex Aizpuru ‘Kaxe’ & Ivi López (attackers).
