The last and most important game of the season. Deportivo is at the edge of relegation, the Galicians need the victory and don’t depend on themselves. CF Fuenlabrada want to qualify to the playoffs.

Referee: Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos
VAR Official: Luis Mario Milla Alvendiz
Kick-off: 21h00 CET (Riazor)

Last matchday and Deportivo need a little miracle to achieve the permanence at Segunda División as it doesn’t depend on the Galicians. If Depor win this game, then they need to see CD Lugo (Vs. CD Mirandés) or Albacete Balompié (at Cádiz CF) drawing or losing their games.

If the Galicians can only add a draw in the closing matchday, then it will need a triple combination with CD Lugo and Albacete Balompié losing their games and CD Numancia not passing from a draw (Vs. CD Tenerife). In this case there would be a triple tie between Lugo, Depor and Albacete and the latter would suffer the relegation due to the tie-breaker with the other two clubs.

But CF Fuenlabrada are also playing for something. They are currently sixth at the standings and can lose the playoff spot before Elche CF or Rayo Vallecano. A draw at the Riazor will certify their qualification to the playoffs, and if they lose, then they need to see Elche CF (Vs. Real Oviedo) and Rayo Vallecano (at Racing Santander) failing to win their games.

An empty Riazor will witness another dramatic game, just like a few years ago Depor were playing for its life at Primera, while Real Sociedad were caressing the Champions League. Now the goals are less ambitious, with Depor struggling to survive at Segunda and CF Fuenlabrada targeting the playoffs, but the tension is the same.

After three failed attempts testing different draws, coach Fernando Vázquez will put his most in-form players on the pitch. It’s not clear if he will modify the system with three centre-backs, but there will changes as Álex Bergantiños is a last-minute casualty.

Team news: Right-back Eneko Bóveda is suspended after picking a fifth yellow card in the past game at CD Mirandés. Álex Bergantiños suffered a muscle injury in that game and joins Michelle Somma and Uche Agbo at the injury room.  Vázquez picked all the squad for the game, including the five youngsters from Fabril that have been training with the first team.

Man to watch: Striker Sabin Merino. Deportivo need goals and they need the best version of the Basque attacker, who has netter five goals but has remained scoreless in his last six presentations.

Picked players: (24) Dani Giménez, Aleksandar Jovanović, Alberto (goalkeepers); David Simón, Mujaid Sadick, Abdoulaye Ba, Javi Montero, Juan Rodríguez, Salva Ruiz, Luis Ruiz, Jorge Valín (defenders); Vicente Gómez, Gaku Shibasaki, Iago Gandoy, Ager Aketxe, Peru Nolaskoain, Víctor Mollejo, Emre Çolak, Keko Gontán, Hugo Vallejo (midfielders); Borja Valle, Christian Santos, Claudio Beauvue & Sabin Merino (attackers)

Predicted lineup: (4-4-2) Dani Giménez – David Simón, Mujaid, Nolaskoain, Salva Ruiz – Aketxe, Borja Valle, Gaku, Mollejo – Christian Santos, Sabin Merino.
With only the second lowest salary cap in the league, CF Fuenlabrada reach the final matchday with solid chances of reaching the playoffs. But it hasn’t been a bed of roses, the Madrilenian team had a solid start, but feel down in the second round, just the opposite situation than Deportivo.

After defeating Cádiz CF on matchday 18, they spent 13 games without winning. It cost the job to coach Mere Hermoso, and then José Ramón Sandoval came to the rescue. With him on board, the team only lost once in 9 games, and their back-to-back wins have put them at the sixth place only needing one more point to play the playoffs. A remarkable outcome for a team that’s living its first season at the second-tier.

Team news: Striker Sekou Gassama and goalkeeper Pol Fraixanet are covered from their injuries, therefore there are no injury concerns for the game at the Riazor. Sandoval said that the changes made in the last game were to give some rest to the men that are going to face the meetings.

Man to watch: Right winger Hugo Fraile. This veteran winger is living his best season ever, he is the top-scorer at the team with 12 goals added to his tally, just one more than the 11 that he netted with Getafe B during the 2011/12 Segunda B campaign. He has also scored twice within his last three league presentations.

Picked players: (24) Pablo Alcolea, Pol Freixanet, Joan Femenías (goalkeepers); Cristian Glauder, David Prieto, Juanma Marrero,Chico Flores, José León, Mikel Iribas, Alejandro Sotillos (defenders); Cristóbal Márquez, Anorthosis Famagusta, Randy Nteka, Pablo Clavería, José Rodríguez, Anderson Emanuel, Pathé Ciss (midfielders); Iban Salvador, Hugo Fraile, Jeisson Martínez, Sekou Gassama, Oriol Riera, José Fran & Caye Quintana (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Femenías - Iribas, Chico Flores, Juanma, Glauder - Pathé Ciss, José Rodríguez - Hugo Fraile, Iban Salvador, Randy Nteka - Jeisson.
