New defeat for Depor Ladies. Manu Sánchez played with three centre-backs, but by minute 10, his team was already trailing 2-0.

Coach Manu Sánchez recovered defender Cris, but Peke and Kenni Thompson were still out injured. Lady Andrade skipped the match due to a knee problem. After suffering six straight defeats, the coach made new changes and switched the system again, now converted into a 5-2-3. Noe Bermúdez returned to the goal, while striker Michelle Romero made her first appearance as a starter on this season.

Awful game for Depor Ladies. Coach Manu Sánchez switched the system and was playing with three centre-backs, but it never brought any confidence to a dead team that was always at the mercy of the rival.  The game couldn’t start as bad as it started for the gals, the coach tried to strengthen the defensive line and presented three centre-backs at the starting eleven, but by minute 10 his team was already losing by two goals.

After just three minutes a cross from the left was poorly cleared by Noe Bermúdez and Carol Ferrez found the loose ball to score with a strong shot from close range. And the second goal arrived soon, a counterattack for the locals ended with Natasa Andonova chipping the ball over the goalkeeper.

The locals were having the ball and Depor Ladies had some arrivals, the main one was a shot of Athenea del Castillo repealed by keeper María Valenzuela (19’). The gals were trying to attack, but without order and later were at the mercy of the local counterattack.

So, it wasn’t strange to see the third goal arriving. After two previous opportunities, a cross from the left was collected by Irene Guerrero inside the area, and she scored with a crossed shot. Stephannie Blanco had the second chance in the game for Depor Ladies, but her free-kick was blocked by Valenzuela (36’).

Depor Ladies had two opportunities to score in the first half, but those were isolated plays. The true is that their game was terrible, the players seemed to be only standing there, with no plan to attack a rival that was feeling really comfortable playing on the counterattack.

There was no change for the second part, Levante UD continued to be closer to the goal, and their first opportunity was a header of Irene Guerrero that was saved by Noe Bermúdez (50’). The first chance for Depor Ladies came in an error of Cometti, keeper María Valenzuela had to clear the danger at the goal line and collied with Michelle Romero, who was unable to connect the ball (58’).

Helena Torres was the first substitution as she replaced Michelle Romero, it didn’t change the picture. And the fourth goal arrived; Esther González hit the woodwork and the defence cleared the danger, in the resulting corner-kick, Aldana Cometti was alone enough to head the ball home.

The game was already decided and the coach decided to switch the system, Iris Arnaiz replaced Bedoya and the team returned to the classical 4-3-3. The fifth goal could have arrived after a penalty committed by Noe Bermúdez, but Alba Redondo sent the ball over the crossbar firing from the spot (80’).

At least Depor Ladies were able to pull a goal within the final minutes. It was a corner-kick in which Ainoa Campo met the cross from Alba Merino. Kika and Lia entered for the final five minutes replacing Athenea and Alba Merino.
