The club announced through Canaldeportivo.com the contract with right winger Momo has been cancelled. The Canarian will now go to Xerez in order to sign a new deal. Momo was signed in the year 2004 coming from Las Palmas and he never found a place in the squads of Irureta, Caparr??s or Lotina.

Depor Sport published on its Saturday’s edition the details of the deal for Coloccini. Deportivo’s paper confirmed the agreement is for €11.5 million plus incentives including a participation of Newcastle United in a future Teresa Herrera tournament. The deal still has to be signed and the player might travel to England on Monday.

Newcastle United and Deportivo have been negotiating face to face the transfer of Fabricio Coloccini since Thursday’s evening, and on Friday both clubs agreed the terms of the operation although no official confirmation has been made. It seems that Depor will receive €11.5 million plus €2.5 for further achievements.

If Depor’s boss leaves without any closed deal over the desk, the operation will not occur, at least in the short term.

Sotirios Kyrgiakos and Diego Colotto are the two choices selected by Deportivo in case that Coloccini leaves Deportivo. The Galician club already made the first contacts for both players and it seems the preferred choice is the Greek defender. Kyrgiakos is currently a free-agent while the transfer of Colotto will be around the €2.57 million.
