Deportivo started a positive reaction during February, that's because the team clinched two wins and one draw in the four matches played on this month. But the Galicians still in relegation and March is promising to be tough. Depor has to play three straight games against teams in a good shape, and it ends the month facing two direct rivals that aren't living their best moment.

The ten points added in the last five matches are very useful for Deportivo, but Lotina's team still in relegation and it needs to continue adding points in order to complete the objective of the permanence. However, the next confrontations in the calendar are promising to be very tough. And its that Depor has to play against three of the most in-form squads in la liga during the next three weeks.

The first one is Sevilla FC. The Andalusian squad, now coached by Manolo Jim?©nez, its paying a visit to the Riazor on Saturday (20h00). There were huge doubts about the future of the squad after the exit of Juande Ramos, the team was struggling in Champions League and it was left out of the European positions in la liga. But Jim?©nez has been able to change the situation, Sevilla still alive in the Champions League and its now occupying an UEFA spot in the table. In fact, the Andalusian squad is the most in-form team in la liga with thirteen points added in the last five matches:

The potential of Sevilla is finally awakening and Jim?©nez's squad has scored fourteen goals in the last five games, including four against Espanyol and five against Zaragoza. The big question is if Jim?©nez will reserve some of his key players for the important game against Fenerbahce SK, the Andalucians lost the first-leg in the first knockout round (2-3) and they will need all their gunpowder for the match that will be played a the S??nchez Pizju??n (Wednesday 5th March).

And the following rival is also living a 'second life' on this season: FC Valencia at Mestalla. The team is now coached by Ronald Koeman who has faced several disputes inside the club after he sidelined Albelda, Ca?±izares and Angulo from the group, three of the most influent players in the team. As results of this conflict, Valencia fell down from the European positions, but lately things are improving:

Valencia has clinched eight of the last twelve points in dispute, it seems the squad is finally assimilating the philosophy of Koeman and players like Hildebrand, Maduro, Banega and Mata are earning a starting place in the formation. However, the last draw at home against Recreativo added more doubts to the poor campaign at home of Valencia, that's because the squad already lost six times at the Mestalla: 0-3 Vs. Villarreal, 1-2 Vs. Espanyol, 1-5 Vs. Real Madrid, 0-3 Vs. Athletic Bilbao, 0-3 Vs. Barcelona and 0-1 Vs. Almer?a.

And Depor ends this series of tough matches with the visit of the leader of la liga: Real Madrid. There are some things favourable to Depor on this game. Firstly, Schuster's team has spent sixteen years without winning at the Riazor, besides the Madrilenians are living their worst moment in the campaign since they have lost three of the last four encounters in la liga:

But despite its poor moment, Real Madrid should be considered as a serious contended since its the best visitor in Primera Divisi??n with twenty three points clinched after thirteen games played in this condition, they have only lost four times outside home: 1-2 at Espanyol, 0-2 at Sevilla, 0-2 at Almer?a and 1-2 at Betis.

And Deportivo closes the month with two matches against direct rivals, squads that aren't living their best moment. The first of this confrontations is the visit to the Ono Stadi in order to face RCD Mallorca. The Balearic team was a candidate to the European positions during the first round, but it's recent poor form has sunk them into the bottom of the table, they are now three points over Depor. Curiously, they haven't lost within the last five games, but the fact is they have drew the last four games:

In fact, Mallorca has achieved a draw in six of the last seven matches in la liga, this explains why Manzano's squad has been losing gasoline lately, because to be adding a point on each matchday won't secure a better place in the table. But Mallorca should be considered as a tough rival too, as it can be noticed in its last results, the team has only leaked three goals in the last five liga encounters. Besides, Mallorca has only lost three games at home on this season: 0-1 Vs. Villarreal, 0-2 Vs. Valencia and 0-2 Vs. Barcelona.

And if Depor begins March facing the most in-form rival in liga, the Galician squad ends the month playing against the rival in the worst current condition: Real Murcia at the Riazor. Lucas Alcar??z's squad is the worst team in the second round with only one point added within the last five games, period in which they have only scored three goals and has received seven.

Besides, Murcia is the fourth worst visitor in this liga campaign with only eight points added after thirteen visits. They have only won one game in this condition: 4-1 Vs. Valladolid. And in addition to this, Murcia has never won at the Riazor after six visits to La Coru?±a playing in Primera Divisi??n.

The list of liga matches for Deportivo during March is:
01/Mar/2008: Deportivo Vs. Sevilla
09/Mar/2008: Valencia Vs. Deportivo
16/Mar/2008: Deportivo Vs. Real Madrid
23/Mar/2008: RCD Mallorca Vs. Deportivo
30/Mar/2008: Deportivo Vs. Murcia
