THE WINTER MARKET

27 Dec 2005
Apparently the arrival of Javier Arizmendi isn't the only reinforcement that Lendoiro is planning for Deportivo, recent reports indicates that the club's officials are thinking in new incorporations for the first squad and also for Fabril. But the first thing to do is to find a destination for the players that don't count in Caparr??s' plans.

WHO'S GOING OUT
C?©sar, Pablo Amo, Jes??s Mu?±oz, Acu?±a, Momo, H?©ctor and Mun??a are the options on this department. Momo seems to be the first player to leave, M??laga is trying to reinforce the left wing and the Canarian is the first choice of the Andalucian club. The problem at this point is that Lendoiro wants only a loan spell and M??laga's officials wants to include a buyout clause, a fact that doesn't satisfy Depor's president since he sees Momo as a winger with a brilliant future.

C?©sar was related with several Premiership's clubs, but he seems to have his eyes over Villarreal. The defender said to the club's officials that he will only accept a transfer if this operation is done with the Valencian club, if the transfer doesn't succeed C?©sar will stay at Depor until June of 2006, then he will be free to negotiate by his own. Depor is still waiting for a offer coming from Villarreal.

H?©ctor has been related with C??diz, the Andalucian club wants him in order to reinforce the defensive line, but the problem is the player's salary. Caparr??s has given his OK for the operation, but C??diz wants to pay only a part of H?©ctor's compensation (€600,000), meanwhile Lendoiro wants to cancel the deal now (H?©ctor's contract ends in June of 2007) in order to save some money. The problem in this case is that C??diz will have to offer a two-year contract to H?©ctor in order to maintain the conditions that he's living at Depor, a situation that the Andalucians don't want to do.

'Toro' Acu?±a could end in Argentina, Estudiantes de la Plata and Newell's Old Boys are interested in the Paraguayan midfielder in order to face the next Copa Libertadores. Acu?±a sees with good eyes the operation and he's asking for a transfer instead of a loan spell as he appointed yesterday: "any offer should be presented to my agent, but I must say that I don't want more loan spells. I'm too old to be managed by the club and I deserve some respect."

Pablo Amo, Jes??s Mu?±oz and Mun??a aren't part of Caparr??s' plans, but the club's officials don't have any offers for them, the most probable scenario is their continuity in the club, at least until next summer. Who could join the list of outgoing players is Fabricio Coloccini, The Argentinean defender is desperate in order to play and participate in the next World Cup and  he's ready to leave the club in order to fulfill his dream. River Plate, Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo and Independiente are interested in him, but Liverpool and Fiorentina also asked for his situation. The offer from the Reds seems to be the most high of them (€3.5 million), but rumours appoints that Lendoiro will not sell the player if he doesn't receive at least €6 million.

WHO'S GOING IN
The priority seems to be a defensive midfielder and a right winger, sportpaper Marca wrote that Caparr??s asked for two reinforcements during the renovation's conversations that he maintained with Lendoiro a couple of weeks ago, the names aren't public at this point, but the club is trying to find a cheap option and also they are looking for young players since the new politic is to obtain the reinforcements in Fabril.

Precisely is Fabril where all the efforts seems to be concentrated, the club's officials are studying the incorporation of two Sporting's players: Noel Alonso and Marcos Ladeira. With Deportivo B trying to reach Segunda the club will need new incorporations in order to face the challenge.

Noel Alonso is a left winger that has a strong offensive view and that is good in the aerial game (height, 1.8m), he's fast and has good skills to manage the ball. Marcos Ladeira is a pivote that has the ability to steal a lot of balls in midfield and also manages the aerial game (the same height of Alonso).

But there are other two options that Deportivo is following: Adri??n and Michu. Both youngster plays in Oviedo and the club's officials could try to incorporate them in the future. Adri??n is a striker that has been followed by Real Madrid and Michu is an offensive midfielder that pleases in La Coru?±a.

One interesting incorporation could be Ezequiel Lavezzi (20), the Argentinean striker is currently exploding in San Lorenzo, the youngster was the pichichi of his club with eight goals scored in the Torneo Apertura and the fans are in love with him. Nicknamed as El Pocho he has been claimed in Argentina as one of the most pleasant surprises in the last tournament. River Plate wants to buy the player, but the club's officials are thinking in offering him to Deportivo in exchange for Coloccini.  An offer that has to be analysed by San Lorenzo board's meeting during this week. However the operation seems difficult since Depor has several young strikers waiting for a opportunity: Arizmendi, Xisco, Rub?©n Rivera and Senel.
