His name is Gabriel Pealba, a Buenos Aires-born player that already performed in the Serie A with Cagliari. He played with Argentinos Juniors during the last two Argentinean tournaments. According to the media in the South American country, Deportivo is one of the clubs interested in him. His club is asking 2.5 million for his transfer.

Gabriel Pealba (23) is an offensive midfielder that has been described as an skilful player managing the ball and that also possess the ability to shot from long-distance. He shined at Quilmes for the season 2005/2006 although he didn't score any goal. One year later he was signed by Cagliari in the Serie A, but he was the substitute of Uruguayan Abeijon and that's why he only played three matches with the Italian side.

For the year 2007 he returned to Argentina and signed with Argentinos Juniors, club in which he performed during twenty games in Torneo Apertura 2007 and Torneo Clausura 2008. He scored three goals and gave one assist during those matches. Once again he called the attention of the Italian clubs and one week ago, SSC Napoli offered 1.5 million for the player, but Argentinos Juniors rejected the offer because they are expecting to recollect one more million in the operation.

During the week, several Argentinean papers are claiming that Deportivo La Corua, Porto and Panathinaikos are interested in this player. In the case of Depor the problem is that Pealba doesn't have a EU-passport, something that complicates any possible transfer since the Galician team already have four men occupying a foreign spot: Guardado, Omar Bravo, Taborda and De Guzmn.
