Everybody was satisfied with the final result since it's a good margin in order to face the second-leg match with more confidence. President Lendoiro admitted also that the club is studying the option of hosting the tournament's final in order to celebrate the centenario of Deportivo.

Joaqu?n Caparr??s was satisfied with the performance of his squad, but he believes that Deportivo must not think that they are already qualified: "Until the last hair of the tail, the bull is a bull and we have to wait until the game in Pamplona in order to celebrate. Seeing the game we have to be happy for the three goals scored, specially for the fact that they couldn't create danger against us, only the ball that Sergio cleared out from the goal line."

The Utrera-born coach also expressed his satisfaction for the debut of Arizmendi and the work made by Coloccini: "He (Arizmendi) has been out of action during the present season and he's missing some rhythm. Besides he played in a position that he isn't used to, but the boy is young and we trust in him. He played well and we're really happy. The same with Coloccini, he made a good job against a player (Web??) that could cause us a lot of troubles."

Javier Arizmendi was happy with his debut, and especially with the fact of receiving the people's support: "The team has achieved a win, it was a good game and we have an important advantage in this eliminatory. Personally I felt good sensations, but we have several things to improve. I was awaiting a Deportivo like this, a good team with a great group of fans, I appreciate their support when I was replaced."

Lionel Scaloni was happy with the result and especially with the goal that he scored: "I always score some goals, but this season I didn't have any on my count after several months. I'm happy for the team and because I scored this goal. It’s important to me, my family and for a friend of mine that came from Argentina in order to see me playing."

President Lendoiro showed his satisfaction for the result achieved: "The result is really good. Osasuna showed that they are very good and a difficult team to beat. Frankly the result is very good." Depor's president was also asked about the possibility of hosting the final since the club is reaching 100 years of history: "We didn't asked for it, but I admit that we are studying the possibility."

Javier Aguirre admitted that the result of the game is almost defining the eliminatory, but he maintains his hope for the second-leg game: "The result is the worst thing of the night, In a collective sense we were bad, but the rival was superior and they killed us with three marvelous goals. There’s still a chance for us, the possibility is always there and although it's difficult we don't lose the hope. My team always plays with will at home."
