After maintaining silence, Angel Lafita is finally speaking about the polemic between Zaragoza and Deportivo for his signing. However he did it through his agent, Antonio Sanz. The agent told to Radio Galicia that the Aragonian winger is hopeful about playing in Europe with Deportivo.

Real Zaragoza hasn’t released yet any official statement about their intentions with Angel Lafita, player that was signed by Deportivo on Friday after sending the two million euro transfer stipulated in the buyout option of the contract signed by both clubs. However the media in Arag??n is convinced Los Ma?±os will try to execute their own buyout option during the week.

Deportivo believes the spirit of the contract’ was to see the player staying for one season at the Galician club, and later Zaragoza should be deciding if they will execute their option in June of 2009. During the time this controversy has been flowing around, the player has preferred to maintain silence.

But the silence was broken on Monday as the agent of the winger, Antonio Sanz, talked at Radio Galega: â€?I interpret the contract with Zaragoza as Depor does it. No one is going to pay for a player just to see he’s leaving in the next day. The only thing we want is to see the player staying in La Coru?±a. What we will desire is to see Depor’s officials hanging up the phone and calling Zaragoza in order to solve the issue. Lafita is hopeful about playing in Intertoto and to perform for Deportivo.â€?
