Fourth historic confrontation for Seleccion Galega that was resolved with three goals scored by two veterans. It was an entertaining game played at the Riazor and that had three Depor members on it: Alex (loaned at X?rez), Pablo Alvarez and Piscu.

The public was expecting for Chile, but in it end it was Iran after the South American team failed to achieve the permission from the clubs. The game was played at the Riazor and there was a decent attendance. Adri??n L??pez ?Piscu’ started at the centre of the defence and Pablo Alvarez did the same at the right wing, while Alex Berganti?os had to wait sited on the bench.

Iran played with an offensive formation that had Rezaei, Borhani and Khalatbari as the main references for the visitors. At Galicia the duo of coaches, Arsenio Iglesias and Fernando Vazquez, were counting with veterans like Roberto Lago, Cabanas, Julio Alvarez and Nacho Novo at the starting formation.

It was an entertaining game in which the first chance to score was for the visitors, Kaebi was left alone against keeper Roberto, but Piscu came back to clear the danger (20’). Just three minutes later Nacho Novo, who landed five hours before after a trip from Glasgow, scored the first goal. It was a long cross from midfield that Novo found alone on the right wing and in the end he crossed keeper Rahmati with a shot that went to the left top-corner.

Eight minutes later Iran found the equaliser as Borhani took advantage of a dead ball inside the area after a rebound, he defeated Roberto with a drilling shot that went to the right corner after hitting first a defender. The game reached the pause with a 1-1 in the scoresheet. Galicia made all its changes at half-time, including the entrance of Alex Berganti?os and also ?Chino? Losada, this last striker would score the decisive goal in the game.

But first Nacho Novo appeared to score his second in the game, this after receiving a pass inside the area coming from Roberto Trashorras, who also entered for the second half, to fire a shot to the roof of the net. Later an innocent hand of an Iran defender during a free-kick caused  a penalty that Losada materialized into the third goal for the Galicians.

But Iran would reduce the distance eight minutes before the end, it was a drilling cross from Rahmati that Khalatbari met to beat Diego L??pez with a crossed shot that went to the far post. The match ended with a 3-2 score in favour of Seleccion Galega, squad that still undefeated after four matches.

The negative news was the confrontation between the police and some radical of the Galician movement just minutes before the game, it occurred outside the stadium and several damages were caused to cars and a few businesses. A 33-year-old man was sent to the hospital after battling with the police.
