Jonathan Pereira seems to be the new target of Deportivo. At least it was what Lotina said to reporters. Meanwhile, David Fuster has been linked too with the club, all seems to be part of a giant operation with Primera Divisi??n’s Villarreal.

Villarreal and Deportivo seems destined to cross their roads during the summer, on the past week the media in La Coru?a reported a meeting between president Lendoiro and two high officials of the Valencian club, Fernando Roig Noguerol and Juan Manuel Llaneza, reunion that took place in Madrid. Llaneza, who is the sporting director of Villarreal, admitted later the reason for the meeting, ?We had a reunion because Deportivo is interested in several players.? He said to a local radio in Vila-real.

And the first name on the list is Jonathan Pereira (21), the Vigo-born attacker that scored the faster goal in this liga season at the Riazor during the past Sunday. He has a contract with Villarreal until the year 2013 and is currently loaned at Racing Santander. It has been speculated that Pereira might be part of some sort of exchange for Angel Lafita, winger followed by Villarreal and for whom Zaragoza has a €3.5 million buyout option. Another of the rumours is that Depor might try to negotiate a loan deal for Pereira.

No matter the figure of the operation, the interest in the Galician striker currently at Santander is for real, as coach Miguel Angel Lotina confirmed it during a conversation at Televisi??n de Galicia (TVG), ?We are exploring the market for all the positions, this according to the casualties we could face. We are interested in Jonathan Pereira, because we know we will lose Lafita. Later the negotiations with him and his club will start, and what seems interesting might fade away in fifteen days, because another team or another player appears… so we can not talk too much about it.?

Newspaper La Opini??n A Coru?a also informed on Tuesday that Depor is interested in another player linked with Villarreal: David Fuster (27). He is a winger that can perform at both sides and that currently plays at Elche CF. He’s fulfilling a great season and has scored 12 goals at Segunda (five from the penalty spot). Villarreal has a €400,000 buyout option over the player and according to La Opini??n, Lendoiro put his name over the desk during last week’s meeting. The idea is to bring Pereira and Fuster at the same time, especially if Pablo ?lvarez leaves at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the media in La Coru?a informed on Monday that Depor is following offensive midfielder Rub?n Micael (22). He is currently playing at Nacional de Madeira in Portugal and Lotina already admitted that he is one of the candidates to join Depor on the next season, though according to the coach ?he is just one of the names in the list of possible reinforcements.? However, it was reported that some Depor’s officials already saw the player in action, more precisely Richard Moar, the sporting secretary of Depor, who visited Portugal during the past week.

Finally, Diario Sur in Andalusia wrote that Malaga FC presented an offer to Fabricio, keeper that has had a conflict with Depor about the terms of his contract, reason why Lotina was forced to sideline him on the present season. According to the report, Malaga is offering a contract for four or five years to the Canarian. But in order to accept the proposition, the keeper would have first to resolve his contract dispute with Depor, something that seems difficult as Lendoiro already said he will battle for the rights of Deportivo.
