PROBLEMS AT FABRIL

20 Mar 2009
Today, Deportivo B faces a new final as it visits Marino De Luanco at the Miramar stadium (17h00 CET). Both teams are direct rivals fighting for the permanence, and Tito Ramallo is forced to travel to Asturias with big doubts in defence, situation that’s pushing the early return of Rochela.

Deportivo B can not miss the chance to add points in its quest for the permanence at Segunda Divisi??n B, today the squad of Tito Ramallo visits the Miramar stadium in order to face Marino De Luanco, a direct rival that’s only two points below the Galician squad, therefore a defeat would mean a huge step backwards, while a victory could even mean to leave the drop zone.

And once again Ramallo’s squad is having big doubts in defence previously to the game, firstly because Fabril is the fifth worst defensive sector in the group with 37 goals leaked in 29 matches, and secondly due the long list of casualties, specially at the centre. During big part of the season, Juanan and Antonio del Castillo have been the starters in those positions, but the ex-Mallorca B picked his fifth yellow card of the season against Sporting B, reason why he is now suspended.

Marcos Caridad (adductor), David Rochela (finger) and Sergio Benito (pubalgy) were in the list of injuries, the first one is already recovered, but Ramallo is not counting too much with him (only two games on the season). Therefore Ramallo didn’t have more choices to accompany Juanan. But there’s a plan B: to advance the return of Rochela. The Galician youngster is already recovered from his finger fracture, but he shouldn’t play in order to avoid complications. However the hurries are pushing Ramallo to use him now, then the idea is to send the player to the pitch using a special protection in his hand.

Summer signing Arturo was also picked for the match, but Ramallo hasn’t trusted in him throughout the season (only four appearances on the season). Actually, in order to have a concrete alternative on the bench, Ramallo has picked French youngster Karl from Deportivo Juvenil A. He already completed 20 appearances with the team coached by Devesa.

Also, Iv??n P?©rez, who made a great match against Sporting Gij??n B, was also doubtful after picking a hip problem in the match played at Abegondo, but he has trained during the week without major problems and all appoints he will be a starter in this game. Hugo Garc?a, who comes after scoring a hat-trick, is not fit to perform for the fully 90 minutes, but he will start again alongside Aridane in attack. Ramallo has also picked a player from Juvenil A in order to have an alternative on the bench: Joshua Corrales.  The Castile & Leon striker scored twenty goals with Juvenil B on the past season, and he already tied that mark on the present campaign with Juvenil A.

Picked players for the game: Manu, Alberto (goalkeepers); H?©ctor Granados, Arturo, Marcos Caridad, Rochela, Seoane,  Juanan, Karl (defenders); Nacho Matador, Juan Dom?nguez, Iv??n Carril, Momar, Iv??n P?©rez, Dani (midfielders); Aridane, Hugo Garc?a and Joshua (strikers).
