The good run of Deportivo away from the Riazor continued thanks to the goals of Sergio and Diego Trist??n. The Galicians came back from a 0-1 score at half-time in a game that saw the same history of past games: A solid defensive line and the search for the rival's errors.

As it was expected Caparr??s selected the duo of Arizmendi-Rub?©n for the striking zone, while Romero replaced Munitis who was left out of this match. Juanma was the other novelty since Coloccini was suspended and Sergio started in the place of De Guzm??n. In Osasuna’s side Milosevic was the selected choice in the front line and Web?? started on the bench.

The game began with both sides trying to find an early goal, the first chance was for Rub?©n Castro and then later Delporte made a dangerous cross in Depor's area that ended in nothing. The response of Depor was made by V?ctor with a shot that passed inches away from the post. Milosevic was close to scoring from a corner-kick, but the defensive line cleared the ball in the last second.

Arizmendi was very active during the first minutes of the match, a sensational play of the Madrilian striker almost ended in goal when he stopped the ball with the chest just to turn back himself in order to send a shot that just passed the post. Then, the game reached a pause in which both sides were covering all the spaces in midfield.

Later, Deportivo had two new chances to take the lead, In the first one Rub?©n Castro sent the ball out and in the second opportunity the Canarian's shot was deflected out by goalkeeper Ricardo when everyone was sure of the opening goal. Although both teams enjoyed good opportunities, the first half could be considered as a boring one. Osasuna and Depor knew the importance of the three points and they preferred to control the actions and bet on counterattacks.

Suddenly the situation changed, Juanma was booked for a challenge against Milosevic and in the resulting free-kick the defensive line of Depor was caught asleep, David L??pez sent the cross and Bernardo Romeo deflected the direction of the ball passed Molina. Osasuna dominated the actions in the last minutes and a second goal of Romeo was invalidated just seconds after the first half ended.

Caparr??s decided to introduce Trist??n in the place of Rub?©n, a modification trying the refresh the offensive sector. The truth was that Deportivo begun the second half with more initiative. Just three minutes after the start of the half V?ctor sent a cross that was luckily deflected by Arizmendi since Sergio was near to sent the ball into the back of the net.

Trist??n even had the occasion to score the second goal, but the Sevillan striker sent the ball out when he was facing Ricardo, it was his first warning of the night. Javier Aguirre decided to introduce Web?? and Valdo in order to push his team for the victory. The modifications gave more will to his team and Osasuna started to dominate the actions with more clarity.

But suddenly Diego Trist??n appeared, the marksman surpassed the offside strategy of Osasuna and he sent a shot just when Ricardo was trying to close down the space, it's his 10th goal of the season. Osasuna was hurt and los rojillos pushed for the equaliser, Web?? was close to achieving it when he headed the ball in off a corner-kick, but Juanma cleared the danger off the goal line.

Caparr??s made a surprising change when he introduced Jes??s Mu?±oz in the place of Arizmendi, it was his debut after four years in the club. The Sevillan coach tried also to lock up the result with the introduction of C?©sar in the place of V?ctor. And it was enough, Osasuna searched for the draw in the last minutes, but the wall of Caparr??s and a late intervention of Molina against Web?? gave the three points to Deportivo.

An important victory for Deportivo, now the Galicians are in the seventh spot just 6 points away from Osasuna and the resulting Champions League spots. However the victory against Osasuna had a special taste since it gave the advantage to Depor against los rojillos, if the two teams end the season with the same points the Galicians will prevail since the series is favorable to Depor for the two goals scored as visitors. The next match of Caparr??s' squad is next Saturday against the powerful Barcelona.
