Right winger Saúl traveled to La Coruña and passed the medicals, though Deportivo and the same player denied the news, this due to a conflict with his agent. Meanwhile, in Mexico it is rumoured that Lotina phoned Edgar Pacheco.

Elche lost its aspirations to achieve the promotion to Primera as on Saturday they lost at home against Real Murcia (1-2). On Tuesday the coaching staff gave a free day, and right winger Saúl Fernández (25) took advantage of the occasion to travel to La Coruña in order to pass the medicals at Deportivo. The papers in La Coruña announced the news, some reporters saw him, but nobody was able to take a picture.

Newspaper La Voz De Galicia asked the spokesman of the club, Rafael Carpacho, about the presence of the winger in La Coruña and he refused to make any comment arguing that he won’t be replying to all the rumours appearing in the media.

The same source phoned Saúl and the player assured that he spent the day in Elche, later he said that, "Until the end I won’t say anything about my future. Right now I can’t sign with other agent, but I can sign for other club, though for the moment nothing is signed.”

This secrecy related to the presence of Saúl in La Coruña is related to the conflict with his agent, José Plaza Frías. The right winger ends his contract with Elche on July 1st, but his contract with Plaza rules out on August 1st, the player is unhappy with the agent, but if he wants to terminate the contract then he has to pay €300,000 as compensation.

That’s why both sides are maintaining silence about the signing of Saúl, though the papers have been announcing since a couple of months ago that the deal is done. It has been speculated that the signing of Saúl will be announced in fifteen days, as soon as the Segunda season ends, but the announcement could be delayed a few more days in order to avoid further problems with Plaza

Meanwhile, Mexican Sportpaper Record informed that coach Miguel Angel Lotina phoned Edgar Pacheco (20, Atlas de Guadalajara) in order to know his availability to sign for Deportivo. The right winger/right-back defender was related to Depor in past months and it seems that Getafe and Independiente de Argentina are also interested in him.

The same source interviewed the player and he said that, There are conversations with some clubs that you already know, but the problem right now is the World Cup, and it’s that all the clubs will wait until the end of the World Cup to make a move, and I hope to be lucky enough to emigrate. The market will close its doors on August 31; three months are remaining and must wait to see how the negotiations end. Right now things are advanced; we just hope it will materialize.”
